Autoblogs - Why so much BS about them?

I use twitter plugin, too. I get several followers every day.

There is also one thing strange, google's ad impressions are much less than the number of my sites' visitors. sh*t....I check the adsense code it's all right.

I just changed all my adsense code on my blogs, see what will happen tomorrow..

adsense impressions are always less than 100% as they don't have 100% completion, also from countries they don't cover and from browsers without javascript... plus some people just dont let it finish loading, i know when i had a site that had multiple languages randomly the adsense spots where showing blank white, thats when that impression isnt counted.

Smartest thing to do is get bidvertiser or something like it, add that to a blank html page on your website, and set the alternate_url for that adsense unit to that html page, walla you should get closer to 100% fill rate between the 2.

As for analytics yes i add all my sites to it, best thing to do is is just use the main dashboard to view the historical changes up/down of the pages, an d then use that for the ones that need attention.

Couple questions. What I'm having trouble with understanding is how to get good content, but leave it maintenance free. Seems like no matter what you do, your plugins are going to grab content that doesn't fit. So don't you have to at least visit your site(s) and purge stuff? I'm also assuming your content is basically duplicate content.

Also, how are you tracking and testing your conversions?

Think of it this way....if you have 500 blogs each making $1 a day you would be making $15,000 a month...I would call that a decent income.

Is it possible to build the 500 blogs faster than one month???

At the risk of sounding like a smart ass...anything is possible. With the techniques we use our company would be hard pressed to build more than 100 a month. That being said I know people who can build that many in a day. We use quality versus quantity so throwing up that many blogs is not in our business model.

Is it possible to spin an extra few articles for each blog to do some article marketing with??? to create some immediate back links??

Yes....we do this all the time. One piece of content is used to generate 100s of usable content.

I have a good domain and was thinking of having all of them as sub-domians on a VPS??? what is your opinion???

I'm not a big fan of opinions...lol we have not tested that so I don't really have an opinion on it. My thought is that you might be able to get away with that if you don't try to link them together. My other thought is this...if you have all of your blogs in one place and you do something with one of them and Google delist it I would expect that they would all get delisted. (just my opinion)

First the maintenance free content issue. By using a plugin to scrape content you are limited to the plugins ability. By asking someone else (the plugin) to provide the content to your blog you're stuck with what this give you...unless you are willing to edit it.

Another example....we have a number of writers on our staff, they are all top notch writers (we have an extensive process for hiring writers). If I wanted I could have them write unique content for our blogs and I would get very good content...but there would still be articles that I'm not happy with. Thats just the way it works...if you want to take yourself out of the loop then you give up some of the quality control.

We outsource the blogs we have the need to be edited. Most of them dont need to be edited like that...our autoblogs that are completely hands free use the model of quantity over quality....if we post 10k post I expect 5k-6k to get indexed the rest google will ignore.

The question on tracking is really pretty simple...just takes a little takes time. We keep track of the plugins and content models we use for each blog and track how well they work. Thats the simplified version....thats a lot more to it than that but I dont have the time to write it all out here.

Anytime you want to track something you need to determine what outcome you are looking for then determine the different factors that will affect conversions...then split test those factors.

The problem is, I have 20 blogs but only have $1 per month. 4 of them even have 8 months live.

Jimmy...I did not say you should be making a dollar a day with each blog. The statement you quoted was in reference to what someone would consider a decent income with 500 blogs.

How much you make on each blog depends on many factors. Most of my blogs do not rely solely on adsense income. (some do...most dont) Think about it this way....if I have a blog that has a couple clickbank products on it and I sell one product that pays a commission of $30....I just made a $1/day with that blog.

You can even add CPA offers...Mr Rebates is one I like a lot...who doesn't want a rebate.

We make a decent income with adsense....but there is a lot more money to be made if you get creative.

We use

1) SENuke
2) Traffic Kahuna
3) Traffic Android

As well as a few others...some are our own programs. We dont use any of the free versions you can find on this forum...the free versions appear to be a bit buggy.

Just remember....you get what you paid for. If you're capable of dealing with the little issues that come up then free versions are good...if not then you're just going to end up pissed off and bitching that they dont work....I can tell that if done properly some of these programs work veryyyyyyyyyyy well.

I give away advice because of all of the bullshit I had to go through to learn what we have learned. But it doesn't matter how much we help others there is still a learning curve to go through that most people are unwilling to.

We test, test, test so we know what works and the changes we need to make as the industry changes...99.9% will not do that.

Very few people are effectively using the various plugins or automated software/scripts available to us...most just download it and then start blasting away without regard to the results they get.

Set up two blogs exactly the same except for the automated content generator you use...then track the results.

How much content does it generate?
How many post get indexed?
How much traffic is generated?
How much adsense income is generated?
How many affiliate sales are generated?

and so on.....

Thats how you learn what works and what doesn't...we were using auto social poster on ever post to some of our blogs....were were posting 200-300 post per day....bookmarking 8-10 accts per post....every blog we did that with got deindexed within 30-45 days

We learned a lesson....on to the next test...thats how you be come successful.

I think it's a misconception that more autoblogs out there will really harm yours because in reality our autoblogs are not competing with other autoblogs but with the regular whitehat websites at the top of Google.

What that means is if we all share our autoblogging knowledge in order to beat those whitehat websites we'll all be in better shape than if we keep it to ourselfes

you are not just up against whitehat websites though, you are up against other blackhat websites.

valuable information comes at a price, usually money, no one is willing to give in depth secrets away for free

I still have to create 2 - 3 blogs per day this month, then see what will happen.

I have no choice because I waste so much time on my day job and I have no time & money to spend.

yet still not a sure given real money in the future

What i think is over rated is work , when people come here and claim you have to work work and work and maybe it ll pay off if you write 100 articles by your hand, what gives me a thrill is trying to do it easily otherwise it would be tedious.
Theres plenty of rapidshare stuff shared here, just some smart thinking maybe some of my own coding and i m secured.

doing it "easy" is not always the best way, I'm not saying automation is bad, I am saying that key steps however should not be trusted to automation
