Autoblog/Linkwheel ???

I recently just started autoblogging, and it been an uphill struggle. From what I learned skimming through the forums, is that to make your autoblogs wrok, you need good high pr back links (correct me if I'm wrong)

Well I also discovered the "linkwheel" method as well. The idea sounds amazing, but I was wondering. How many people have tried building a linkwheel for an autoblog? Success? Failures? Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
