I m building my own gaming PC what you guys prefer ? ATI or Nvidia GPU? At the moment i got decent amount to invest i m confusing on ATI R9 270x vs Nvidia gtx 760. Where ATI is bit cheaper and having similar performance. If you guys were me what you have chosen?

My PC configuration will be like :

CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-3570K 3.40 GHz 6MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1155 (All Venom OC Certified)
    · HDD: 2TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64 MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (WD GREEN)
    · MEMORY: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3/1600 MHz Dual Channel Memory XMP supported
    · MOTHERBOARD: ASROCK Z77 Extreme 4 Motherboard - ATX, Intel Z77 Express, 2400MHz DDR3 (O.C.), SATA III (6Gb/s), RAID, 8-CH Audio, Gigabit LAN, USB 3.0, PCIe 3.0, WiFi-N, WI FI GO(All Venom extreme OC Certified)
    · SOUND: DTS Surround HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO
    · CABINET: NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower (Red), front USB 3
    · Samsung Double Layer Dual Format DVD+-R/+-RW + CD-R/RW Drive (BLACK COLOR)
    · POWERSUPPLY: 650 Watts – Corsair TX650W 80 Plus Certified Power Supply - SLI/CrossFireX Ready

What you guys think is this configuration is good enough for gaming PC?

Let me know your views and advice :)

    Thanks in advance

The R9 would be my preference, I'm running the R9 right now in SLI and the performance is incredible. Really though, either one will work fine, even if you're looking to play games like "Crysis" with maxing out the graphics. They're both enthusiasts cards so they'll just about handle anything you throw at it (Unless you're planning on doing some heavy duty 3D rendering) so just pick whatever fits your budget and go for it. Neither will disappoint. :)

I`ve always liked Nvidia, even though you might get better value with ATI.

I would say go for Nvidia. While R9 270x seem to work better in higher resolutions (>1080p), Gtx 760 is a better overall performer. Tbh if I were you I would simply get a cheapo PS4 and reinvest money.

nvidia IMO has a great GPU for the money. They seem to out perform ATI when you have the same specs. I personally given the choice always choose nvidia when I can they have just proven themselves to me over the years. ATI used to be a great card but then AMD bought them and for some reason the product has suffered a little. Might just be in my head but it seems that way at least.

I have R9 270X HAWK and I find myself pretty well with this. So, AMD > ATI? No, this just depend on what price/use you need !
