Do you ever find yourself doing anything completely ass backwards? I just had a guy tell me he's looking for advertisers on his website...that does NOT exist yet.

It reminded me when I started IM. I read all this stuff about how SEO can take a while to get your site ranked, so I figured, "I better get it started now!". I hadn't even added any content to my site. All it was was a domain. Now I have backlinks ranking higher than that site, as I completely forgot about it.

I'd like to hear other stories of people who have made their noob mistakes and aren't afraid to admit it.

My favorite "ass backwards" thing that people do a lot on BlackHatWorld is when guys make a thread about landing a big time SEO client and then 3 days later they make a new thread asking how to do SEO.

I think the saying is "back asswards" if I remember right...Oh shit too many mistakes to list
except for one.

Had one guy pay me to do a Google Places and next thing you know I found it and he
said he was just f'n around and started it himself..huh? DBer ... other things with this
guy so I took his money and said adios

I know this is an old thread. But sometimes being "Ass Backward" may cause the biggest fortunes in history. Just ask Bill Gates.

Some time ago there was guy who said he got 20 clients in 1 month making him $2000.

And in next days he asked how to get clients.

So thats kinda weird
