Ask me questions about eBay and PayPal.

Thanks for all your help. Question on the fake SS trick. I tried to do that to verify a paypal account but it does not seem to work. Does this only work when you call into paypal or will it work when you verify on there site as well. is it like just keep changing the last 4 digits until you get a hit or does the name have to match. i tried it with a stealth account that i have not added a CC to yet.

how does paypal handle a dispute if a buyer says the item they bought from me is not authentic? will paypal look at my past history and see ive been buying things from china?

Im s elling some stuff with an ebay account. The problem is this ebay account is linked with a limited paypal account. If I ask to send money to another paypal account is it going to be a problem?

I have been searching for such a long time to find a product to sell and where to get it, nothing seems to make sense, profit wise. I have looked on doba, DH and such. Looked into Taobao and just seems difficult, everything is in chinese, unless you get an agent. Anything you could recomend to get me up and running?

I know I am not Mafia, but I know the answer to this one. Tha answer is not automatically. If you refund the customer the money, the answer is no. This is because they don't manually look unless you dispute back. If you don't refund and they manually look at the account, they will know. Then they will ask for receipts or supplier info. The best bet is to refund the money so that only that it does't get esculated to manuel review.

Also make sure you are selling like 60 to 1 in positive transactions to negative if your selling knock offs. The software will autoomatically close your account if you get that type of dispute. You will get the dreaded we don't wanna do business with you letter; and we're keeping your money for a 180 days.

Can you send me your contact details ? I want to ask you some things about Ebay , i can not contact you

There is no information there.
But i have a question about eBay.
Is there any way to buy any product on eBay but i from BD.

What's the best way to open multiple ebay accounts and get 100 seller feedback without getting banned or detected?

You have to open stealth accounts and then slowly gain that kind of feedback over 90-180 days. Or you can buy an established account from someone..

1. change ip
2. create new paypal using new credentials (name, address, etc)
3. create new ebay using new credentials (name, address, etc)

I no longer make eBay my main focus for sales, it's mostly a branch of marketing now.

1) Don't focus too much on the actual setup and storefront. Just use something like Magento, Prestashop, or hell, wordpress and the ecommerce theme. It doesn't really matter on a starter level. People will go back and forth all day about which is better, but chances are they have never set anything up themselves.

2) Mock up a cool theme that is VERY simple. Simple is good. Complicated is not. You can even use MSpaint, pay someone $20 to make something that looks a little better, and then hand over some detailed plans on what you want to do to an actual designer who can develop a website from you. A simple site might only cost you $50, a little more detail I would plan on spending about $200.

3) Upload your inventory. Pretty simple. Unlike eBay, professional looking photos look good, convert well, and show relative size. Things like getting good photos taken of a small child holding a pillow you are selling is cheaper than you think and convert very well. You focus a lot on conversion rates and stuff once you have your own sites.

4) SEO, if you don't know how to do it... hire people. I hire westerners, I've been though probably 50 eastern SEO companies and don't really have any good stories to tell, I'm just not too impressed. I get an SEO team from the U.S. on a project, its usually done quicker and I get better results. Don't skip out on this. People think that they can skip out on marketing, but you can't. In the beginning your marketing budget is going to be pretty high. If I started a site and I brought in $10,000 my first quarter of profit, I would probably reinvest $4,000 of that on further advertising until I get to a position where you are more sturdy about the traffic coming in. Once you are comfortable, don't decrease your budget, just do not increase it and see what you can do to get a bigger bang for your buck. You need traffic.

5) Give more. You have to. People have raised the bar to some crazy level where you cant just offer great customer service and a great product for a competitive price (You can't be Hank Hill). You have to give more. Upgraded shipping, free promotional items to bring customers back, snail mail coupon codes, etc. Look up Zappos videos. I even send out birthday cards and free small items (like a Luigi Key Chain or something). You are going to realize that a lot of competition is going to come and go in whatever niche you are in, you will also notice that a lot of your competition has little to no experience, knowledge, or back up capital. Use these "Lack ofs" to use your advantage by increasing your marketing on a ground level (forum marketing, youtube contests, etc)

6) Actually give a shit about feedback from your customers, and forget formalities. If a customer calls you up asking a question, don't go "Hello, thank you for calling _______, I will locate your package as soon as possible. Yes Ma'am, No Ma'am. Thank you." - People don't like formalities, people want their experience with companies to be personal and relaxed.

Hi, thank you for the service that you're providing with your knowledge and experience.

Up until recently, I've been using my own bank accounts for Paypal and it's been swell. Now my eBay/Paypal is down again and I have exhausted my reservoir of bank accounts and do not want to open another one. I'm looking for a bank account alternative, do you have any suggestions in this area?

I've done a little bit of research and have come up with the following brands, if you could give your opinion and also possibly come up with some other brands, I would be very grateful. Thanks :chicken_w

Greendot (Walgreens)
Netspend
BankFreedom

Keep in mind that I'm new to the 'virtual bank account' sphere and ease of use is readily preferred. Thanks again!
