Before nothing, hi BHW! I really enjoy be part of BHW Family.

    Now,

I have a case here with the "profiles backlinks", I'll do a step by step to show you a backlink and my question.

First, go to the registration site of my backlink, for example, backlinksite.com/register

Second, we checked, we add our details (anchor and keywords) in our profile

Third we ping our profile URL with pingler.com or pingates.com or some.

Fourth, my doubt. My Profile INDEX? ... when it is not logged on page NO SHOW PROFILE, can prove... google, for example, not be log in to view the content of my profile .... then, this is a waste of time or affect in any way?
I found this in a lot of Forums...

    So.. what You think??...

    BHW Thanks!

I think I understand what you're asking. If not clarify. If you can't publicly view the profile without being logged in, google won't crawl it.

Yes. Google cannot get past login barriers so if you log out and can no longer see your profile, then Google will not be able to index it.

Wrong, some forums still allow search engine bots to crawl the site even if users have to login. Not on every forum though.

He's talking about profile links. On some sites, profiles are only available to people who are logged in to the site. The profiles are not "publicly viewable", therefore Google cannot crawl them.

What he is saying is that some forums can still be crawled by Google even if the profiles are not publicly viewable.

I know of a few private forums where GoogleBot is often one of the "users currently online".

I think a couple of the different forum platforms have an add on to allow GoogleBot to still crawl pages that require others to be logged in to view.

On a Vbulletin forum i have the memberlist is constantly being crawled by bots and its not publically viewable. Thats by default

So im assuming its the same on all vBulletins

One thing im not sure of is if they can see the homepage and signature though???

Interesting stuff. I guess the only way to be sure with a new platform is to try a search.

Yes but can they see the Anchor text in signature or homepage field?

I think they definitely can. Whether they count those links and treat the same as others, however, is another question.

I've never tested it so I can't say for sure.

You can check using Googlebot agent to see if its viewable.
