I just posted this on a different AMA thread so don't hate if you run across this

I apologize in advance for how newbish and verbose the following questions are:

For context:
I run a local company that sells intangible products over the phone. I rely entirely on leads to make sales. I run lots of Facebook ads and buy leads from lead vendors. One of those vendors sells leads generated by Google Ads and sells them to me at cost for under $8 per lead. So clearly he is getting really low CPCs and he's converting those into leads on a landing page that gets NAP info.

I'd like to out out the middle man and run those ads myself so I can have access to the leads immediately after they are generated and import them into my CRM and start firing my automations at them immediately. Unfortunately he refuses to sell me training on how to duplicate what he's doing even if I agree to sign a NDA and no compete.

So I'm left to figure this all out myself.

The QUESTIONS:

I need to drive cheap LOCAL Google traffic to a landing page that converts the traffic into leads. What is the absolute best way to go about doing this? Any pointers?
Is there an effective way to spy on the ads he's running? I've tried an ad spy service before (SE Ranking) but it only ever found ads being ran by big nation wide companies that are just blowing tons of money on brand awareness and don't care about ROIs. It couldn't/didn't show me any small time ads being ran by local businesses.

I have call-only ads in this Google Ads campaign I am running, I am getting frustrated as every click should be a call however it is not, I am getting clicks that do not convert. Why is this?

Use radius targeting around your location with a mix of geo located keywords + negative as many locations you're not serving as you can. there's lists with cities in most countries you could be based in.

you can do the same for the keywords so if you're offering damp proofing in liverpool for example, you can stay away from the keyword "damp proofing" but only use "damp proofing liverpool", "damp proofing merseyside" etc. obviously if there's not enough traffic then start expanding either by removing location word or by playing around with the match types. if you have a decent budget i'd recommend starting with phrase match.

also change your campaign settings to only show to people that are in your location and not to people that search for your location.

in terms of spying on ads, when you have a google ads account, you can use the ad preview tool where you can set a location and a desired keyword and it'll show you the ads that would show in a real search. it's not amazing, but it's alright and it's free

Hi, my website was getting good RPM till 5th June 2022 ($0.80, $0.74, etc.). After 6th June 2022 the RPM suddenly dropped to $0.01, $0.02 or even to $0.0!!!!

Traffic of the website is same and rest nothing has changed.

What could be the reason of sudden drop in RPM?

you can target any keyword. using copyrighted words in the ads can get them disappoved

I'm trying to advertise VPN to China, in the beginning, the results are very good, but, within 2-3 days account gets suspended. Google not allow advertising VPN in China, is there any way I solve this? ROI is damn good.

Even if use it like this samsu/s22? It did approved but not sure to add more keywords like this.
Can we use special characters in keywords?
I used Samsun/s22. Any other way to trigger brand copyright keywords?

that depends on what Samsung got trademarked. I've not done anything related to mobile phones in the last 5 years but back in the day S6 was trademarked

Hi, just want to ask. I recently launched a campaign as I am really new to affiliate marketing. I am doing white hat, just so you know. My bid strategy is maximize conversion. I can say it is a successful campaign. My stats are all healthy, my avg. CTR is 30% with a 38% avg. Conversion rate. My only problem is I can't see any improvements on my CPC. I believe Google is charging me a hefty amount per click, because upon checking my keywords in the keyword planner, historically the hhighest paid by competitors is around $4 which is far from my CPC is.. highest CPC I get is $11 and no more than below $5. Also, the Quality score of my keywords are no more than below 8/10. I need to lower down my CPC because the revenue I get is low. By the way, my campaign has been live for 12 days now.

when you enter keyword level view you can add columns telling you what's lacking in terms of quality score. could be relevancy of content on landing page, could be relevance of ads, could be performance of overall website

also if you set portfolio bidding strategy you can add max cpc to test if you can still get decent volume or conversions with cheaper cpc

With shopping ads running I can't ad new ad group the product type option is not there

But when I start a new campaign it's there

Do you need to create a new campaign to add new product groups?

i paid him 300$ and he made no results at all. furthermore,e he does not know to explain me where i can see the list of people who visited my website or engaged with buttons. bass tracked told me to start a shit list, but i don't know if i should do it. i already gave him bad review on Fiver.
