Hey,

I found some american dude who says hes studying literature, he's said he loved writing, poems, etc, etc. My brain clicked and thought to ask him if he would write for me, and he said he would and asked him prices he wanted paying and he said $2 for every 300 words.. Do you think i'm underpaying him? should i offer tad bit more? feel like i might be selling him short so to speak.

Everyone seeks for cheap and better service. If you are getting both of them then you should take advantage of it. If writer is really doing a great job as per your requirements then you should reward him with more bucks. :)

In the writing world you usually get what you pay for. If he's a decent writer though consider it wouldn't hurt to give him a bonus every now and then to encourage him to keep it up.

He is good and i do feel like im taking advantage of his good nature maybes, i believe in karma and all that.

I feel you feel bad, pay him more. If you don't care leave it be. Not sure what you are looking to hear...

it's my conscience.

Why don't you tell him that you know a bunch of guys that might pay even more for the articles, and you will turn him onto this source if he does not raise the rates he gives you.

If he agrees, send him an invite to BHW and tell him to open a BST.

I never had bad results from giving a worker a bonus, even little ones. It makes them think you care, even if you don't.

Since you really do care, win-win.

Start him off at a fair price. Do YOU think it's a fair price? How would you look at it if the tables were turned?

I'd prob even refer him to fiverr or the marketplace so he can start making some money himself.

That's really low for an American, native English speaker. Not a liveable wage.
If he's making you money, spread the wealth a bit. If you think of IM as a business, he's your employee. And if you treat your employees poorly they'll eventually wise up.
But if you treat them well...

What are you a charity or something ?

Pay the guy what he asked for....if hes good and he starts asking for more then renegotiate.

If he's fine with that then why worry?

I would pay him a standard $1 per 100 words, works out to be $10 for a 1000 word article which seems reasonable to me.

And all this from a guy that wants to set a tracking device on his employee PCs to http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/blackhat-lounge/666542-what-system-can-i-manage-my-employees.html, so he can take those 5 minutes from their salary....please

I know your comments related to something else, don't be upset James, i don't take any minutes of there time LMAO!!! AHAHAHA What a troll, I never new you where that upset and jealous :)' I think this post showing my concern about wages isn't a bad thing is a good thing, and the thing with toilet is just you trying to have a dig as your upset but I dont do anything of the sort, my words got misconstrued and your spinning it for your own agenda but i think this post kinda proves what im saying.

Business is business, some of us are just a bit quicker than other :)

I don't know what your point is but I'm starting to think your jealous of my success!

Move on and just focus on yourself! rather than becoming obsessed with someone else s success.

If you feel bad, pay him more. If you don't care, get better discount for bulk orders :D.
