Youtube shorts have become a major part of the platform and many creators seem to be using them to reach new audiences and grow their channels.

for creators who have been using shorts consistently , what has your experience been?

looking forward to hearing your thoughts

For content creators, short videos (YouTube Shorts) offer explosive results in terms of views and reaching new audiences, but they have significantly lower conversion rates into loyal subscribers and advertising revenue compared to longer videos.

Shorts are ideal for reach but rarely convert well into subscription unless your content is super niche.
The best use of shorts is as a top-of funnel video that drives people to longer-form videos or series

Yes, Youtube shorts are good for discovery. you can g viral quickly, but the audience is often less loyal compared to long form content.

shorts are great for increasing views , gaining subscriber and testing new content ideas quickly . The results can vary depending on the niche and the quality of the content.

In my opinion, Short videos are the key to growing a channel faster in today's environment. They can reach a wider audience, attract new viewers more quickly, and help accelerate overall channel growth.

One thing I noticed is that timing matters a lot. Posting at random times on YouTube gives mixed results, but consistent posting schedules improved my reach.

Shorts work well in terms of reach and attracting viewers instantly but the viewers themselves have low retention power unless the content is highly specific
They help grow the channel, but long-term channel sustainability can only be achieved through conversion of these viewers into long conten/

Shorts give you crazy reach, but the traffic is completely hollow if you don't anchor it. The best play is to treat them as trailers and link your long-form content using the official Related Video feature right in the Shorts settings. A simple 1 click button directly on their screen converts way better than putting links in comments

They are still one of the quickest ways of getting exposure and new subscribers even in crowded market segment
What is important is that you have to use shorts to discover people and then take them to your long videos

yes they help, and i didnt realize this until recently. When you post a short, post it and link it to the main video. If you already have some videos with decent views, check the section that is getting most views, cut it, and post it as a short linking to the main video

shorts can definitely help reach new viewers faster and increase channel visibility many creators use them to attract attention while long videos build stronger audience loyalty results vary but consistent posting and good content usually make the biggest difference

Discoverability through shorts works very well, although traffic tends to be cold thus making the conversion to long-form subscriptions unpredictable. It is consistency, not virality, that matters winners tend to niche down aggressively and funnel viewers from Shorts into their long videos or series. Shorts work very well if you use them just for discovering viewers, although not very consistently if you grow using them only

Shorts have been great for getting views and reaching new people. The challenge for me has been turning those viewers into subscribers who also watch my longer videos.

shorts aare ok for quick views - but for long term srick to long vids .

In my opinion, short-form videos are currently helping channels grow more effectively and gain followers much faster.

Youtube seems to still favour shorts differently. It's a fast way to get shown to a lot of users for one, you can definitely use it to leverage channel growth.

good point, shorts can bring fast views and new subs, but the quality of those subs depends on the niche. Some people watch one short, subscribe, and never come back. so use shorts as a top-of-funnel tool, then push the serious audience toward long-form videos, community posts, email, or another platform.

shorts videos a re the quickest way to blow up your channel, however earning wise, longer form videos is the way to do it...yes there are short content creators who make 10K/month and etc but those are just 1% of the top creators. Long form content is always going to be the best for earnings, however it is slow but it will definitely blow up if your doing it right.

I analyzed a bunch of creators and the following strategy works great: on YouTube shorts post multiple times a day, funnel ppl to a long YouTube video with value and from there to an offer
