I eat vegetables yes. But I eat meat as well. :D

Yeah that stick of celery in a Bloody Mary, does add a certain something.

But what about all those poor, displaced defenseless animals and insects murdered while picking the crops for the vegetarians?

Insect Lives Matter!
You are absolutely right. I also think that plants have souls just like animals. If I were to make such a decision one day, I would definitely be a fruitarian, not a vegetarian. But I'm not sure I can live like this. It is best to ignore this issue and not think about it and continue with life as normal.

If there was something of the matter on a national census most non-veg people would be classed as: scavengers like vultures, not true omnivores like bears and apes.

If it was up to me I would ban eating meat except if you go out to hunt yourself, under two rules:
- no being a pussy with a gun. If you want to fight put in the effort and fight hand to hand
- no targeting herbivores. Fight other bloodthirsty beast like wolves, hyenas, bears etc and let's see how long before you think it's not even worth the effort

no, you wouldn't, food chain is for animals. Not for humans..
errrr why? Humans are not animals??

Infact, we are on top of the food chain. If you need proof we are omnivores, look at your teeth. You have both canine teeth and molar teeth. If there’s a dentist here, please confirm (or deny) this. :)

Read Darwin's actual work. I had to for a school project not too long ago. He said it over and over until he was blue in the face that 'Man', as in Human kind are far too complex and diverse, collectively and individually to ever be included in his theories and classification of animal species which he studied and yet ironically it is his work, or rather, merely his name, which is emptily and incorrectly misused by all sorts of pseudoscientific nonsense and ill founded taxonomies that impose things on people to tell them what they are and how they should behave in a very oppressive manner.

He made numerous distinction to actually differentiate what separates man from animal and would probably be turning in his grave if he could see how direly his work has been misused and misapplied.

This has been debunked too. Look at gorillas... now those are what you call canines, and they use them for nothing except cracking hard casings open. Omnivore canines are hooked to help them tear flesh and cleave bone. Human canines are pretty good for nothing in that sense. Even cracking open a walnut shell will probably warrant an emergency trip to the dentist.

The hunter gatherer myth has also been debunked. Now believe it or not the consensus now among many notable experts is that practically all non-tribal, organised societies before the Roman era were ubiquitously vegetarian. All the while the hunter gatherers stuff is just a lie that is used to sell paleo books and recipes.

Ok whatever. I still love chicken and fish. I don't care how my canine teeth are not quite canine. :D

No, never & I won't be
Eat vegetables too love vegetables but without meat can't even think about it.

Plants do not have a nervous system. You can't compare an animal to a plant.

Also, after all we have to eat something, its just better to eat plants than killing an animal to eat.

Vegan here for around 4 years now and not going back to even being vegetarian unless something massive happens to my health in relation to my diet and not eating meat which I don't think will happen ever.

I think it would have been good to have the Vegan option to the poll as well as I clicked I am vegetarian because it would have been closer than if I clicked that I am not. A vegan can be classified as vegetarian but vegetarian cannot be classified as vegan.

Also, for the past few years many studies have shown that animal products contains a lot of saturated fats and cholesterol which are the main reasons for heart attacks and diabetes so I am not sure why you guys put your health at risk just to please your tastes. Maybe some of you just need to a little bit more research on the topic.

Another thing is that since I became vegan I have also reduced a lot of other bad stuff as well as sweet/sugary things as most of them contain milk. In result of that I don't crave chocolate anymore, and it is great! Sugar is probably more addictive than heroin.

I'm Meataterian / carnivor but I try to not eat meat for 2 or 3 days in row just to change and loose a bit of weight
