Noticed a lot of people quietly bringing back Web 2.0s for tier 2s or just some brand presence.

I still use them occasionally, especially for early-stage sites where budgets are tight or just to maintain brand mentions across platforms. Obviously, they’re not as powerful as they once were, but still have some value when used smartly.

Anyone else still building these or have they gone out of your toolkit completely?

They still have a place if used right. Web 2.0s won’t give the same SEO boost as before, but they’re useful for brand mentions, indexing support, and sending a bit of authority to tiered links. For early-stage sites or low budgets, they can still be worth the time.

Same here. I think these types of backlinks give a better foundation rather than a heavy boost to site ranking.

I still use Web 2.0s here and there, mostly for supporting tier 1 links and keeping some brand presence alive. They’re not a ranking powerhouse anymore, but when you build them with decent content and link naturally, they still help with indexing and adding trust signals.

I also use web 2.O for tier 2 links and brand mentions. they are not game changers anymore, but they are cheap, easy to control, and can help diversify the link profile, especially for new sites.

Web 2.0s aren’t dead—used strategically, they still add brand depth and link diversity

Yes, I still use Web 2.0s for tier 2 links and brand presence- cheap but still effective when done right.

They’re not what they used to be, but I still see some value when treated as part of a natural mix. Good for diversifying anchors, grabbing a few branded mentions, and cushioning other links rather than as a main ranking lever

Yes, But only those whose subdomain present the same metrics as their main domain.

They are dead. You need higher authority backlinks.
