IT was discussed by a lot of people a few years with most believing it would be another failed idea of Google with me being the crew supporting the idea it would fail.
When I first saw it looks kind of weird and stupid I tried it a few times with me overall finding it would often make a site look very unpleasant to make traffic drop in most cases when I discussed it overall with other people all I chatted to were saying same as me traffic was dropping and click-through rates dropped a lot so many then stopped using Amp.
Some of the plugin creators of AMP did do a pretty nice job of making AMP sites look semi-decent or very decent instead of the usual bad look most had.
I found getting Affiliate things through AMP kind of complex another reason I stopped using it.
Now it's something Google even admitting they will not use it as a ranking factor anymore so unless you just doing it for experiment probably best to ditch AMP.
