Hey guys, so I ran across a very interesting article in the May 23 double issue of Fortune magazine that may have a huge effect on internet marketers as a whole in a couple of years. And may put a couple of services like deathbycaptcha temporarily out of business. At this year's Rice competition, a really prestigious business plan contest, a team from the University of Michigan has basically devised a new captcha service called "Are You Human." The team ranked number two in the competition and plans to raise $1,000,000 in venture capital. Their plan is to imbed a simple game that requires you to do a small task in order to access the website. While this project probably won't be up for a couple of years, it will still greatly impact automation tools and services. This simple company could absorb mass amounts of your time once their product catches on, but I'm sure it won't take long before someone programs new software to combat the service. Just thought I'd share since it will probably affect most people on this forum.
