Had a discussion with a friend last night about localization vs globalization. I was arguing that everything "socially concerned" people care about (the environment, fair wages, etc.) can be improved by promoting localization and limiting globalization.
I was called out for being "part of the problem" since I use foreign VAs, etc.
So, first question: what do you think of the concept that globalization should be limited?
Second question: what will happen when standard of living is similar across the globe and there no longer is the financial benefit of outsourcing (menial IM tasks) to cheaper countries?
