Are vlogs or blogs the way to go?

I think blogs are more lucrative right now. YouTube isn’t really great for cash unless you’re a getting a bunch of views. Even then, you have to have engagement if you want to get sponsors, or you’d need somewhere to send your audience — like a merch store. In my opinion, it’s just more work for worse results. At least with blogging you can outsource most of the work and focus on managing the site. And you could even run several blogs at once, after you’ve got a grip on the first one.

Read an article of a blog : 3 min
Watch the video of this article > 3 min.
So let's say you want to read 10 articles, how many time you'll loose.
And also, if the article is a bit for geek, and with some links, if it's a video, i'll need to read the description, catch the right link,....
I thin kthat vlink is great for branding. But not so much as "media" in an informative way
