I wonder if pinging still works in 2025, or is there a better and safer method now? Thanks!

Still works but not as effective as before. Better to share links on social media, and connect new pages to existing ones on your site to help search engines find them faster.

Pinging still works but is less effective than before, as search engines now prioritize organic discovery. Submitting URLs via Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools is a better approach. Sharing content on social media and getting backlinks helps with faster indexing. Structured data and proper internal linking improve search visibility. Avoid excessive pinging to prevent being flagged as spam.

  1. Internal links – Link new posts from old ones.
  2. Social media – Share on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, etc.
  3. Google Indexing API – Speeds up indexing.
  4. Sitemap & GSC – Submit your site to Google Search Console.
  5. Backlinks – Get links from other sites

I used to use the Video XML sitemap ping method. I tried to use it again previous month. But It didn't work. So I assumed it is not now useful.

Not very effective. It costs few seconds to setup plugins for these so you should not avoid that even though it is not that much effective now.

Pinging still works in 2025 but it’s weak on its own It helps get pages noticed but doesn’t guarantee indexing or ranking. For better results combine pinging with sending real traffic using social shares or micro engagement tools You can also submit links through Google Search Console or use tiered linking with trusted pages pointing to your target link

So pinging is still useful but works best when paired with other signals that show real interest and activity

Yes, URL pings can still help, but they are not as effective alone in 2025. Google now relies more on quality signals. A better approach is combining pings with indexing tools, tiered links and getting crawled from high-traffic or frequently updated pages.

URL pings alone? Nah, ping is not enough in 2025. Google's is more smarter now. Use ping as a signal boost, but pair with quality content, social signals, and legit traffic. Indexing’s about trust + relevance now, not just spammy pings.
