I need a keyword to rank at least first page. It is currently on page 3, but I don't have time to actually build the backlinks myself. I was going to try one of the packages found on this site but I need some opinions first.

How much would this cost me? Do they actually work? I don't want to pay $100 just to end up on page 2.

    Also recommend me some services.

$100 to get from page three to page one?

Buy AdWords, my friend. Your best option to get 10 clicks.

I don't really like AdWords. I would prefer to spend a one time fee and get organic hits from Google instead.

You run Adwords for a decent product, but your sales copy has to be strong and psychologically targeted for a specific clientele. For a tough keyword, expect to pay $0.75 a click and up to $100 a click. Balance your daily budget only, but make sure you are in the top 3 ad rotations for clicks. The top 3 are more likely to soak up all the traffic rather than position 4 or lower.

cash202 was being ironic....$100 is not that much for a one page bump.

you could just post up a job on odesk asking for page 1 rankings and then see if anyone can do it for your price.

if you have an easy keyword it could be less than $100 to hire someone to get it to page 1.

if you pm me your keyword I can analyze it for you and could help you out a bit. :)

You in Malta ? I could do with some content for a Maltese site I'm throwing up.. If you can provide me some articles or content for my site I could do an seo exchange with you.....As mentioned above, all depends on what your site is....how good it is and the competition but shoot me a pm of your site and keyword and I will have a look.

Until you want to scale up...

Best and cheapest way is to create your own backlinking methods and teach it to outsourcers.

Not all packages are created the same. Not all keywords are the same. $100 for keyword 1 could get you to page one while the same package for keyword 2 might move you up one spot.

It's all relative to the competition and how good the service is.

If the keyword is going to make you good money than it may be worth it to spend a lot on it. You need to evaluate the risk/reward for that keyword as well as the competitiveness for it.

$100 is not much money when it comes to more competitive keywords. Now if this is some long chain with little competition it might even be overkill.

You need to understand how SEO works in order to determine if the service is good. You have to compare services by price and quality of what they deliver. Not all packages are created equal and many providers like to cut corners to maximize profit.

Results are what ultimately count but don't confuse short-term results with long term results. Many times these services can give you a short term bounce only to have your site slowly fall back in position.

Yes this is what I am afraid of, that I pay only to have my ranking taken away eventually. Anyway I am already getting help so we will see how it works.
