Are these BH SEO techniques still relevant?

background of me: used to work as an SEO in agency but switched to software engineering 4 years. now I am back to the SEO world and would like to know if these techniques are still relevant.

I used to work on both SNS profile creation and Google stacking for backlinks and link indexing. Are these techniques still relevant today after all the HCU for these years?

If you're working on SEO for a brand new ecommerce store today, what are the must-do checklist?

After the core updates, stuff have changed ofcourse but backlinks and link indexing still matters. Just browse around on the forum and catch up with the new techniques. You already have previous experience, so should be easy.
 
Don't brother, Google will know. And it won't be beneficial. It will mark your website as spam
 
SEO is a complex and broad field, making it challenging to pinpoint exactly what works and what doesn't. Strategies that seem outdated in one area might still be effective in specific niches. Ultimately, you’ll only know what works through your own research and testing.

And yes, black-hat SEO can work, but it's tricky.

4. Content Strategy​

  • Blogging
  • User-Generated Content like reviews, testimonials etc..
  • Video Content

5. Analytics and Reporting​

  • Search Console Monitoring
  • Regular Audits

Not something to rely on anymore,
They could make some impcat, but the success rate, low indexing rate and deindexing of such links makes them less/not worth long-term
 
Maybe it can work for temporary projects, churn and burn websites with aged domains

Even so, they will be eventually deindexed...that's the best case scenario, at least you'd earn something from it
