And it all works for some reason. Sometimes it seems that the frequency of getting backlinks is more important than their quality.

I totally agree. Even doorway sites still work. But in long run on more safer side we can use gsa ,rankerx such tools in more cleaner environment. I use gsa everyday but not building than 100 per url thats not big but really effective.

All depends on google RRF so wise to choose the niche and work for that.

please don't buy packages and don't go for quantity. you need to identified website those are not just relevant also which have low OBL . because those website purpose is just selling links it not effect ranking . you go for quality links not quantity .

I work with different niches(directories, data, etc.), so the strategy of building backlinks on a single url doesn't really work for me, since the main target is people who are looking for certain data. This is why I need to focus more on domain authority. Yes, I know that collecting backlinks to different pages is your way to overall authority, but collecting backlinks for a wide range of data is quite difficult.

I tried to redirect relevant expired domains to some pages, also build direct backlinks to articles, but Google prioritizes only those pages that have links and ignores those to which I want to get the most traffic. Bing handles it more easily and since the target country is UK, I get decent traffic from it.

Meanwhile, Google somehow loves those who copy content, use cheap backlink packages. Such websites successfully exists for 1 to 3 years before Google starts kicking their ass. But then a similar project appears with a new name and it's all over again.

And such projects earn more than me with my long-run strategy. lol
