Are simple links still working for you?

I’ve been testing a few basic link-building methods lately and noticed that simple, relevant links sometimes perform better than complex setups.

Are you focusing more on quality and relevance now, or still mixing different link types for balance? Just curious how others here are approaching link building these days.

Plain, relevant links often give solid results these days, and keeping it natural matters more than using fancy strategies.
 
Yeah, a lot of people are leaning the same way lately.

From what I’m seeing, the trend has shifted more toward quality and relevance first, with less emphasis on overly complex link schemes. A single contextual link from a relevant page that actually gets traffic often does more than a bundle of low-impact links from random sources.

I still focus on link quality and relevant topics rather than having too many links spread everywhere. Using links too broadly is very risky and can be flagged as spam at any time.

Do you buy any relevant links, or are they entirely organic?
 
Yes, simple links are still working, but only when they come from relevant and clean sites.
 
I’m seeing the same trend, honestly. Lately I’ve been leaning much more toward quality and relevance over complexity. Simple, contextually relevant links from real sites seem to move the needle more consistently than layered or overly engineered setups.

Google does take into account the keywords on the page that contains the link, correct?

I’d say quality links. I’ve tried adding lots of weak links before and it didn’t help much. A few good links worked better.
 
Yes, simple and relevant links still work. I focus more on good placements on niche pages instead of complicated setups. Quality and context matter more than trying too many different link types.

I've noticed recently that simple forum links aren't working for the client's site anymore. Maybe I'm wrong, and it's all about the anchor text we chose. But we've stopped using crowd marketing for now because we haven't seen any results from the latest updates.
