let's make it simple: I'm running an e-commerce about books, and I'd like to add a Tab for each book to show some quotes from the book.

The problem is that those quotes (some of them) are already shared by many websites. should I use them too? or will it be as a duplicate content and just affect my SEO ranking?

Source.

it's funny how people ask questions here and take the answers that they are happy with (or the answers which they had in mind).
For example... what is better? A or B... I think B is better so when somebody answers "B is the best" they go ahead with it.

Haha, I just notice it. xD
I wanted to be sure, so I asked.

What does human intelligence suggests about quotes ? They are fine and it has to be kept that way without changing anything for it to remain a quote, right. AI more or less thinks in same manner.

There is no such thing as duplicate content. Search for "how to prepare your dog for halloween" if you don't believe me
Hm, if this is the answer for quoting, it is partially true - if you address such content as a quote, that's ok, but if not, Google will calculate it as a duplicate content. On the other hand, if you're referring that there is no duplicate content at all and we should not worry about it - well, that's definitely not true.

many news media sites refer to the same quote so I can't say if it is considered duplicate.

I don't really understand what you are trying to say. But yes you can stop thinking about the issue of "duplicate content", it does not matter.
If you say otherwise I want to see your tests.
