Hi Gurus,
Was searching for the answer but could not find.... Are Profile Links still helpful for SEO? In 2016?
I mean profile links from authority sites like... w0rdpress, myspac3, d3ll etc.

No man...unless you are showing any participation on those sites...

Stay away from such links!

They still work (with minimum results) in upper tiers (2,3 etc.)

You can use them for diversification and if the link is do follow pump it up with some tier 2 links. Don't expect a huge SERP rise though.

They are good for diversity, however I only use nofollow links when dealing with profiles.

Some sites use No Follow for comment sections. If you can put your link in your name that may help for diversity but I would not rely on it to bring business or seo links.

They're a waste of time... You could get a tiny benefit, but why bother? You'd be better off doing something more productive like writing 3000 word articles.

Not to highjack OP's post but I was wondering..

Why do you only use nofollow links when dealing with profiles?
I use tier 2 links to index my profiles. I don''t want the juice passing on from my spam.

just safer then doing d~follow
