Havent heard about NFTS in a while, is it still a thing?
I think they run again, maybe a few years from now when things like the metaverse start getting traction but not as much as before. Stuff like meme coins is still popular and there will be always demand for some sort of gambling in the crypto space but I think the community and exclusivity aspect of NFTs make them better long term survivors.Havent heard about NFTS in a while, is it still a thing?
no definitely not, but at the moment NFTS are not so much in the public eye. But you can do a lot more than just art with NFTSis NFTS main just JPEGS ,what else have people used NFTS for?
I think ur on to something here, people were spending millions of dollars anno ously, and then all of a sudden governments crack down on it and the million dollar spending stopsThought about this the other day. My theory is that the NFT bubble was triggered by criminal groups laundering dirty crypto by wash trading extremely expensive NFTs. Eventually, tax authorities, law enforcement and exchanges got aware of this and made it more "risky" to perform such a thing (see here, here and here), thus driving the "big players" out of the NFT market and back to the more "classical" methods. This left the market with just the tiny little players, mostly easily-fooled "crypto bros" who thought they were trading gurus and thus driving the NFT market in a downwards spiral.
So, it was basically a bubble triggered by opportunistic criminal entities and it eventually popped. This is my 2 cents
Why? What is it about NFTs that would make you think they would ever increase in value again?I think they will revive next year
exactly.I think ur on to something here, people were spending millions of dollars anno ously, and then all of a sudden governments crack down on it and the million dollar spending stops
NFTs were the narrative the last run, I think people by now realized trading JPEGs of monkeys for 100K isn’t sustainable in the long run.Havent heard about NFTS in a while, is it still a thing?
What about suspiciously AI looking pics of psychedelic mushrooms? Surely they will hold their value...NFTs were the narrative the last run, I think people by now realized trading JPEGs of monkeys for 100K isn’t sustainable in the long run.
Yep definitely a bubble going on with most NFTs. If they don't have a practical use don't buy them! Their prices can be easily manipulated!Thought about this the other day.
