    Google searches keywords, no matter where they are. So if they are not in main content, you can put them in comment and it will help you.

    Actually it is not much help. If you want quality traffic. It was very difficult. You need quality articles and create your website in love visitors

    I think you want to mention about blog commenting, forum posting, guest posting etc. Yes, it definitely helps you. I suggest you to create backlink on high PR websites.

    If you are leaving comments or writing content, keywords should always be used strategically. No stuffing or spamming but used contextually, this is always a good thing.

    Why cant you put keywords in your content? But yes, it could help you rank.
