Directly contacting domain owners IS the cheapest way, the guest post sellers don't have any special tactics to get it cheaper than you can directly. Even if they get discounts for bulk purchasing, they still put money on top for the service of finding, setting it up ect.

Direct is the cheapest way, and prices vary depending on the site owner, so keep sending those emails to domain owners brother. You will get much cheaper than £100. And once you find cheap ones, you can create relationships with them, some of them have other domains in their hands too, so you can end up getting multiple offers from one domain owner.

Just make sure you are checking organic traffic, high DR with 0-very low traffic = PBN or DR boosting.

You need to build the list yourself, but once you do, you'll have a great list that will come in handy throughout your websites journey.

Yeah those prices are pretty average.
I think the most expensive one I've found myself was around £500 GBP (because as a UK company we get the privilege of paying an extra 20% on top of the original price for VAT tax..) not counting content costs.

Sometimes I can find websites that are as cheap as $40-50 USD, others might offer bulk discounts etc. These are normally link farms though so not the best of quality but they do a good job of increasing the quantity if you have those type of clients to deal with

In most cases, it's overpriced. Often it's links with low juice. Reasons to buy them:
1) you need links from trustworthy websites (like forbes, nytimes, etc)
2) you are sure that you will build t2 links + create text that rank

for other points buying expensive links is useless

If you would've bought the same guest posts from a seller the prices will be at least 50-100$ up on that.

It all depends on your desires and goals. If, for example, you want to receive from 15,000 to 25,000 uniques every month from guest posts only, then approximately you take 30 sites with total monthly visits of 500K+ or even more and post your guest posts there. At the same time, you can spend on all this pleasure about $3,000 - $5,000 but at the same time you can have 30 excellently written articles with affiliate links on your blog and you can immediately start making from $1,000 to $2,000 in your first month and then step-by-step increase your profit. You can also do some expensive SEO consulting etc. I'm not just saying it like that, but there are tons of examples on the Internet who still use this perfect strategy.

Great guest posts have a cost - good platforms charge for their quality, as they don't have mountains of "guest posts" and don't have blatant "write for us / guest post" pages. They're often worth it though, as one single link can impact your rankings, while 100s of cheap ones can be a complete waste of time.

Been a while since I have been on here. But a LONG time ago, I worked for a company that did education online for Major Universities here in the USA. I had 2 of those accounts as the SEO strategist. We never paid for guest posts but its easier to ask to post on a high quality site when you reach out and say "I work for the University of Michigan's online program, Id like to contribute a Guest Post about Hospitality to your site"

Even then we would be lucky to get more than a handful a week but some of these were prime real estate with traffic too!

But I didn't handle the other stuff alone, there was a full web development team, a team of writers and editors, and I had an assistant. Of course each conversion was worth thousands and thousands of dollars.

My job was basically outreach and laying out exactly the topic I wanted to done to the writers as well as finding resources for them to look over so they could write intelligently.

I assume most of us have small blogs without that type of clout and others have blogs in industries that may or may not be frowned upon by big authority sites, so the road can be tougher to travel.

It would be nice to know if a service can be trusted for those of us who want to walk the white hat line can take advantage of some great guest posting opportunities.

I mean whats the difference between me hiring someone to outreach, write content as a business (like I used to do) vs me hiring one person for a fee on an SEO forum? Its funny how some things are considered Black Hat vs White Hat.

Guest post prices vary with every website it all depends how you are acquiring it.
If you are doing your own outreach your negotiation skills come into play.
If you are using a vendor it's obvious you will pay more as a middleman is involved.

ofcourse its expensive when you reach out yourself.

Agencies has an edge over solo buyers as they can commit a number to the blog which gets them the best and lowest price possible.
Similarly most agencies /sellers offers content writing + guest post publishing ... so if you calculate the content cost + publishing cost then you are usually getting a good deal. Moreover you have a guarantee of a specific time period till your link remains live and incase its removed, the agency is liable to provide you another post free of cost.

Also guest posts are expensive because they work

I have been buying guest blog posts from service providers before, and the prices are really expensive.
I now buy part of it from service providers and part of it b myself, which greatly reduces my costs.
I recently posted a guest blog post on a website with a DA of 60, an RD of 4K, and a traffic of 600K at a price of $50. I think it will be much cheaper than the service provider's price.

For guest blog posts, it is necessary to publish some PBN, do make some Tier2 links?

Yes, it's possible to get guest posts (or other link types) for free. You just need to pitch the right value proposition. In this case it was leveraging the authority of a reputable educational organisation.

Other examples include: being a thought leader or expert in your industry, being able to create excellent content, offering to share the post with your large social media following, offering a great product, etc. Essentially anything else you have that they may find valuable.

Yes, some people do overcharge for a guest post that's actually not worth that money, but in general, a good guest post might cost 300, 500, or 1000 bucks, and that's normal.

I agree with this - a $500 guest post on a top-tier news website can dramatically improve your ranking, while 50 guest posts of $10 each can amount to nothing at all.

I think it all depends from seller to seller, some charge quite high and some do not. It depends on how badly you want your link from tthat specific site and how much are you willing to get on it. Some good negotiations go a long way.

The only way to get cheap backlinks is to send tons of emails and just choose the cheapest. But it's really hard.
