Are expired domains worth buying?

Expired domain are good for a person who is just starting a new business. Many use those expired domains for their business because they have higher page rank, PA, DA some time and one can easily rank it in Google as compared to the fresh one in which one has to promote from the beginning means an individual have to promote freshly.

I use Expired Domains for my PBN, 301's and Money Sites. I think DA and SOMEIMTES TF is over rated and very easily manipulated so for me it all comes down to the quality and niche of the backlinks

So it is okay to use them as a money site even though the backlinks have anchors different to what you`re niche is? For example, I buy a domain that has backlinks about seo company, but I want to make the site about buying cars. Would it be fine?

If it really has 40 tf and tf that should definitely be having good moz stats as well.. Its worth buying bro.. Go for it.. Can be used to build an authority site or money site. For pbn its over qualified.. Hope my reply helps you

But they already have other backlinks about other subjects. Wouldn't it be bad if google sees two different topics and niches as the anchors?

Yes they are If you want to build good PBN's. High Quality Expired Domains are really Goldmine.

It's really hard to predict. It's definitely going to be a risk going completely unrelated. I personally prefer to pick up domains that have at least semi-relevant backlinks. I wouldn't go for the example you used above. (Although I'm sure others would disagree). But the only way you will really know for sure is to try it.

dude, check the domain with below things
must check the info like site: yourdomainname.com search in google and google shows atleast 3 or 4 results
domain must have the below qualities
whois, PR: 2-5, DA & PA: 20+, CF & TF: 2+, Price: 12$
if the domain have such qualities, you can ready to buy it.

If they have good metrics and if they are indexed on google and if their history does not show any spammy tactics then you are good to go for them.

You won't find expired (reg-fee) domains that are 100% spam-free and with natural PR backlinks.

Bit late. But I see you didn't really get a decent reply. So here's what we use at SwayDomains.com. This is by no means a definitive list and sometimes it can come down to gut feel on the domain. If it feels spammy, move on.

But...

Moz DA of atleast 10
Majestic TF should be over 10. Usually over 15 atleast. If the domain is an exact match in the niche and you have a pretty small niche, you can go lower if it has decent backlinks
A clean backlink profile. That means no viagra anchors. No chinese/russian characters. And not overspammed with directory links
The domain should never have been used as a PBN (Ideally, one owner total in the lifetime of the domain)
Some will disagree, but I like it to have some backlinks from authorative sites (BBC.com, HuffingtonPost, Techcrunch etc)

That's a quick list to get started. From there, it just comes with experience and you are able to spot the good from the bad easier.
