Are DM Automation Sequences Still Converting Traffic?

Hey everyone,

I am testing DM funnels where users get automated replies after engagement.

Does this still convert well in 2026 or are users more resistant now? Also, does Instagram restrict accounts heavily that send too many automated messages, even if the content is value based?

Looking for real results, not theory.

Still seeing some results, but it feels like users are more cautious now. Keeping messages natural and not too frequent seems important to avoid issues with Instagram limits. Value based and slower sequences seems to work better than aggressive automation.

Same conclusion it’s better to focus on creating genuine interactions with users before just throwing out a link out of the blue, what’s more, Instagram will quickly flag that as spam. I’m currently in the testing phase, so we can discuss the results with the author after all, figures speak louder than theory.
