Hey, I'm pretty new to SEO and internet marketing and I've decided to try my hand at creating an amazon affiliate site as my first project. I've been reading a lot of guides/how to's on keyword research then went and bought Ultimate Niche Finder. So far I'm pretty impressed and found some good keywords. I double check my keywords with Stealth Keyword Competition Analyzer and use Market Samurai to check on page SEO and backlinks etc.

I believe I've found a few good keywords but a lot of them are branded (ex. "company/product name review"). So my question is, is it okay to use branded keywords? Will Amazon or the company in question get upset if I happen to outrank them? I'm sure I read in a guide not to use them but I can't for the life of me find the article where I read it. Maybe I just dreamed it up and didn't actually read it. Any advice would be appreciated so I can get started on my site.

    Thanks

All depends on how clearly you state that you are an affiliate & not acting on behalf of the brand.
