Are blogs dying?

I think so, Blogs are already dead, Ad networks doesn't make much money

Yes, YouTube channels are getting popular but that does not mean that blog is dying. Also, you can run a blog with the help of others but in case of YouTube, you will be doing most of the work.
 
Its a low barrier to entry super competitive niche. Any one can blog and google got only 10 spots. Now a days I look at it this way. If you cant code or design or you cant anymore due to age or lack of interest you may want to blog. As simple as that.
 
well tbh theyre in mmo niche in my opinion and i see many of these blogs with barely any comments and crap posts and misleading info, but doing well in the health ive seen
 
They are not dead, and I think they are not going to die soon.

In my country, people are just now starting with IM and with the blog. A particular example was my client, a middle-age woman starting with a recipe blog without YouTube, only website and she is doing very well. The main promo channel is Instagram and Pinterest.

We can say that the recipe niche is saturated, but as you can see you can make it work if you know how and if you have something unique to offer.
 
The blogging landscape is changing for sure, but it's definitely not dying anytime soon
 
Usually when a thread asks "is X dying" then yeah X is probably already ded.
 
Everything is in constant change. Also blogs.
 
Blog are not dead for people with a little common sense. You don't own a YouTube channel, you do a website. Always better to fully own and have full control over an asset, than commit 100's of hours work with a chance of it being taken away with the click of the fingers.
 
Definitely not dead, I think a big thing is being ranked well on google
 
Blogs are dead for those who lose the SEO game mate. Blogging is much much profitable in the long run than a Youtube channel or any other content platform.
 
No, when you think about it. Facebook and Twitter are just really big Blogs that everyone signed up for and comment and post on.
 
Blogs don't make quick money like other ventures like CPA using paid traffic and getting viral on social media. You got to have lot of patience and have some capital in hand when starting out as beginner.
 
as for me 50 50 because less users interesting in this , and in the same time if you really will do great job you will have great income , so depends
 
Blogs are not dying but you need to keep the data up to date as visitors want to know /read the content that is current and relevant to the time. The same goes for Videoblogs. people watch the latest videos but no one would want to watch older videos that do not make sense to users' search query.

The blogs are easy to update as per the requirement but you can't update the video with the same URL.
 
Blogs will not die.

Because youtube like third party sites will ban or destroy your channel anytime without notification.

But if you build your audience through blogs you can't destroyed by anyone.
 
Video content is more pleasant to people, people enjoy watching videos while traveling while eating. Blog post types most people no longer want to read.
