Apps Installs for Local App

We have created a mobile App for our local area (area in UK - approx pop. 150k)

We are looking for ways to get more downloads and have a smallish budget

Does anyone have any experience of...

Facebook PPI for Apps
Banner Advertising targeted to specific regional area
Better to go for CPA/PPC/PPI

Any other suggestions appreciated

I tried to get downloads to my app via advertising on facebook. I got many downloads when i was running campaign. I bought a $50 facebook coupon at fiverr and promoted my app to only my country and selected " Show ads to people only who are using android phone" as I was only have android app. So facebook shows ads to only android users and show them "install this app". If anyone clicks on ads they redirected to google play store.
You can also give a try to fb. It Works.

If it's a small area, offline methods might work well. Post flyers, buy an ad in a local publication etc.

Thanks for this suggestion - how many downloads did you get for your $50 ? - any ideas what your CPC & conversion rates were ?

You could try making a youtube video about your app and relate it to a niche but sending the traffic is the problem. Hitleap doesn't work and vagex and enhanceviews works slow.
