Agreed. First line cannon fodder on support line had three rules. Reset Network Setting. Restore to factory settings. Update iOS. All of which performed nothing but more probs...

-switching to android is not a smart move, by the time every android device become slow AF ... without talking about security issues ...

I don't know if people are bitching about Android in this thread but in case they are just consider this:
1. Get an Android phone
2. If problems arise in the time, install a custom ROM on it and have whatever the fuck you want.

They claim it is to prevent the phone from shutting down at peak performance due to old battery. At least should have provided an option for users if they want it or not.

Slow android is past thing lol what security issues you sound like tard fan boy so ios prolly most secure os in world history which cant be broken since you sided it so badly huh? Never had a single security issue lol my snapdragon runs like wind which is i guess used in apples too.

I still have an iPhone 5. Bought it when it first came out. When it died earlier this year, I didn't buy another one. I went back to Blackberry. The only purpose for an iPhone is Instagram, which you can now run from your computer browser.

I can't speak for everyone else, but when my battery goes bad, I just buy a new battery -- not a new phone. Honestly, I've got a Samsung Galaxy S8+ and I keep 3 batteries with me at all times. When one gets low, I swap it for another. Phones are expensive.

Are you sure about that? My iPhone 4s is still running iOS6.0, which run perfectly fine. And many new games can't be played with that now, which makes it perfect for my nephew. Serve him right little bastard

That's how it started. More and more features stopped working over time. I would click "not now" when it asked to update and the update would just sit in the "settings" with an exclamation point next to it. Then one day out the blue, the phone turned on by itself and begin the update. Afterwards, it shut off and never turned back on. A new battery, usb charger, nothing could get it back on. I already knew it was Apple messing with the phone.

Their is something called planned obsolescence every manufacturing company does this to keep you buying the same product over and over again
