Really, the worst...

We've been trying to create a dev account to publish our MVP for 9 f***ing months.

We enrolled for a company account (real company in DIFC with multiple press articles about the new app). Nothing, not a single message or answer to our +100 emails.

We're deep in the fundraising process. Guess what, all potential investors got an iphone. What Am I supposed to do? Invite them to testflight?!

Ffs we just want to publish an app.

For Android it was in the same day.

Is this normal?

Ps: sorry for the rant but I had too. I'm trying to be stoic about it but I can't

Pps: @RoiBox , can you name this "a weekend thread" so it gets some engagements, please?

Everyone likes apples.

The language might be offensive to some so please take that into mind should you watch this.

No-can-do, I only eat Apples, other than that they are useless. But I´m sure someone here can help you out though.
Only god can help me now.

Everyone likes apples.

Oh my...

How could that happen with not seeing into the future in such a complicated business.

I would play demo first, learn it well and be aware of pitfalls, then do that.

Not fight obstacles unprepared. That's madening.

Maybe do proper validation (at some nice scale) and then do some business at decent scale, and then do business at larger and larger scale. Then all that whistles and bells.

People and business models are like parents. If one doesn't fit the other, kids aren't gonna enjoy it.

Bootstrap instead of inviting investors. That's success to be able to invite investors.
But @macdonjo3 said it might result in a disaster.

How can I boostrap if my app isn't even published in the apple store, because they didn't validate our dev account? How can I see this coming and prepare for it? What kind of preparation are u talking about exactly?

I have no idea what is the App store about.

But I can't imagine that you need $1m to publish it. Is that a requirement?

Preparation? Validation and publication. :D Then preparation.

You can simply hire an app store app developer that already has an apple dev account or make your own as an individual instead of as a company

Tried making the individual one. same madness. I won't be able to trust any dev to publish the app using his account.

It took for me personally 3 weeks of chitchatting with Apple before I got my account. I made personal account.

I talked with many support persons and finally got last one who resolved all issues with 1 click basically and got my account activated.
Its depressing, I know.

3 Weeks ???? Ok, it's confirmed now, Apple are targetting me specifically because I'm awesome.

Got any email or contact details I can use? Thank you

eurodev apple

First result in Google

Use the same email (appleid) that you signed up with

Oh you think that's bad? Try getting on the Windows app store. (Actually, I can't compare the two, I've only ever attempted to get on the Windows store)
It's confusing, definitely not solo dev friendly, the documentation is BAD. Like, "how is this operating system functioning" bad. They require code signing certs verified by random a$s 3rd parties (customer support? Laughable, I get better service from a Waffle House at 3AM during fight time). Oh, and they don't use code signing certificates.

Want the ultimate reason to switch to Linux? Be a Windows developer. Because OMG it's so frustrating. Either that or I'm an idiot. But more likely, the Microsoft team is pranking me. Just waiting here for my "sorry for gaslighting you... And not code signing our telemetry services that you've force-turned-off 800 times"

No experience with Microsoft store but I heard and read that Google play is the worst to work with for indie devs.

Maybe business accounts are treated better, no idea.

But Apple at least has real people answering to emails whereas Google has bots and autorespond system.

Apple doesn't ban you without giving you chance to fix issues. They tell you many times what to do, how to fix issues etc.

It's very hard to get real person to answer you in Google.

They just repeat same thing.

When you make appeal or something then maybe you get someone to see your account.

FB ads are almost same but they have kinda better system.
If you get banned for no reason by bot then you will get everything back.

Google usually bans permanently.

PayPal is another kind of animal.
I had to chat with PayPal support in my personal Facebook messenger to resolve issues.

I had all fixed in next morning.
No problems or bans or limitations since then.
