App$ = $$$$$ - Part 2

BB is there a limit to the number of apps that can be uploaded to an account, in total or at a given time? If we upload 10 apps a day for the next 10 days or so would apple flag our account?

I have published 10-15 games till now but the downloads go to 10-20 after few days of game launch. How to keep the flow of downloads. If I mention "Mario", "Contra" etc. in the keywords, apple will remove them.
So apart from purchasing installs, is there anything else that can be done (My games have leader-board and achievements but not multiplayer and I am going the fremium model where free app has ads and paid app doesn't have any ads.).

Great Post. My first game is already 'waiting for review' in itunesconnect but I'm definitley going to be implementing the knowledge I've gained from this thread on my next one.

BigBuddy, are you adding realtime multiplayer or turnbased? and did you create a framework that you can easily add to each game type or do you start the multiplayer coding from scratch each time?

Also, what do you think about the Word game and Board game categories?

BB, thanks for sharing. Awesome and informative post!

I have a question. What exactly are "installs" and what are they used for?

"Installs" are installations of your game. They determinate the amount of people who installed your game on their phone.

I have a question for BB: How long does it usually take for an app to start earning you money after publishing it?

Thanks.

Also want to know if installs from microworkers.com are real or bot/fake. can we trust the freelancers on microworkers

Aso and cross promotion.

My games are realtime multiplayer, i use appwarp to code the multiplayer version. Nextpeer is handy, but you cant customize it.

The very next day.

Dont buy installs from microworkers, only reviews and its real.

On Microworkers, I m using
Mobile Applications (iPhone & Android) -> Download + Install + 25 words Review

Is that the right category to get reviews. I also want to use it for reviews but looks like it will also bring downloads. Is there any category for only reviews?

3. submit your app to app review sites, 70% of the sites will not post your app, but still give it a try.

I'd recommend to outsource sending to app review sites, it's very boring as 1/3 of them can only be contacted via contact forms with CAPTCHAs. I'd recommend something like iSpreadNews for that - they have a huge db that contains editors from all over the world.

4. Spamming the gaming forums. yes, hire some guys from DP and ask them to post in major gaming/app forums about your app.

In my experience, there are only up to 5 worthy gaming forums in English, so you can do that yourself. On other forums you'll be getting 10 views of your thread per day.

I have another question if you don't mind BB.

Do you earn more money from ads or in-app purchases?

Thanks.

For me it's a 50/50 profit split across my 4 million installs. My existing apps are very poorly optimised for in-app purchases though. If optimised correctly, you can make considerably more from in-app purchases.

BB, I'm curious what eCPM you're getting on Chartboost for iOS? I just switched over to Chartboost and I'm only getting $4.91 eCPM for video interstitials.

Video interstitials, not working well for me. Just banners and average is $12 eCPM.

Hey BigBuddy I am a long time follower of yours, I intend to buy a macbook and start programming iOS apps as I have not the money for the programming+reskin process.
Can you update me on your earnings for the last days or so? Or add more ss of earnings for motivation :)

BigBuddy, are you using Appwarp with the App42 APIs that allow for the social leaderboards and buddy service?

That was a nice knowledge pill. Many interesting small tips. Would like PM you BigBuddy with some questions but I'm newbie on this forum and can't. Would you mind PM me?
