anything immoral or illegal about black hat?

For something to be immoral it must be based on biblical terms or legal terms...

No God never said cloaking was a sin so therefore it is NOT immoral .
And there is no Law against cloaking either .

Today people lack knownledge on what is immoral .I find it strange
how many (and I don't mean you the_punisher )
might thing cloaking is immoral or illegal but adultery or porn is ok ???

We live is a very evil world ,where people know not the truth or cannot choose between truth and lies . Evil and God .Reason is they no not the truth or who is God ..

I beleive your POV is skewed off too far to one side superman. Compared to White Hat SEO Black Hat does cheat the White Hat SEOers in fair ratings. Does this jibe well with it being moral? If this cheating is okay, which amounts to the greed of the seven deadly sins, with you than where do you draw your line with the others?

Being to literal is a dangerous thing, plus, it really screws with Jesus comparing man to wheat, unless the literalists think He was talking about wheat and not man. Or, if you are trying to go both ways, which makes it look really bad since your arguements would invalidate themselves.

Well... the people you talk to aren't very smart... Rockefeller made his money in oil. He owned Standard Oil which was broken up in 1911 to 34 seperate companies which still exist today. Among them... Mobil, Chevron, and Amaco. He also was a huge supporter of banning alcohol. I know this is off point, but I just thought I should tell you that you shouldn't believe everything you are told.

white hats do.Many many white hat are in fact sinning against their God google !!!

At the end of the day, it is a term given to a set of tools and or techniques that one employs to get an edge over the rest of the competition.

In reality, the terms "black hat" "white hat" and so on are just romanticized words that really don't bother anyone who is in business and in it to succeed.

It all sounds like so cool and all to be labeled something, but in the end, unless you are really doing something illegal (which is not what blackhat is about, anyway), you have nothing to worry about.

You WILL probably lose at least one site and that brings us to the term "banning" or "banned"...........all it means is that you have been deindexed from a particular Search Engine and in that case, it is time to pick another domain name, put up a new site on another server (if the whole IP has been banned) and rinse and repeat.

I really don't care what the "rules" are..........as far as SE's go. I am not trying to even things up, I want to dominate whatever area I am trying to compete in.

I remember when I first started building sites, I had all of the same questions.....so, it is cool to ask them.

Use tools/techniques that you feel comfortable with. Remember, that no matter the color of the hat, even Lilly-White websites can and are banned (useless word, really) and that is just the way that it goes.

I never said I was moral. I was pointing out a view I see as truthful. Others won't see things as I do, and I won't try changing their minds as it is not my place.

The terms Blackhat and Whitehat are just terms that someone came up with. There is nothing illegal with using Blackhat, unless you doing something that is fraudulent.

Banning and being banned only means that your site was de-indexed. If this happens, just buy a new domain and slap up a new site. Rinse and repeat.

Use the methods that you feel comfortable with.

Gray, Black of White......use it as long as it works.

They did do that, and a lot more shady stuff as well. Joe Kennedy was basically a lying thief by running stock trading scams, insider trading, etc.

Black hat, white hat... they seem subjective. It is a tag assigned. Kinda of like an arguement.. I'm right... you are wrong. I believe it was Dr. Phil whom I had most recently heard say "It isn't who is right or who is wrong... it is about what is effective or is not effective."

This discussion also brings to mind two pieces of advice my step father had told me.
"Don't ever do anything you would be afraid to admit.!" and "An educated man is someone who can be successful without violating the rights of others." Not that either are particularly relevant here, but they came to mind none the less.

I think that manipulating the system is simply using observations of its mechanics to your advantage is what the "BIG DOGS did to get there" The title of hero or villain depends on who is victorious or who is telling the story.
 
Yea, its not even about experts and amateurs, its about whose pocketing the most cash and thats all. The rest of it is IMO's and we all know everyone whose got those got a asshole to go with it.

I know murders who get less punishment ... It's dogs for God's sake .
Yet the same animal lovers will say abortion is ok ???

Interesting debate with many different ideas......

I tend to take the Bruce Lee Method "Whatever works" and use that.

It is business and we must keep that in mind.

We are in it to make money and if our products help other people then that is cool as well.

Everybody wins in the end (except our competition) and that is as how it should be.
