Anyone Using Pinterest For Traffic

I'm thinking of getting into pinterest. I'm going to be selling fashion items so the audience is perfect for it.

What's the best way to send the traffic from pinterest to your site. A call to action below the picture or just a naked url?

I'm not even sure if a call to action is allowed. I guess I'll have to read up on how pinterest works before I start planning strategies around it lol.

I do have noticed that in Pinterest, pins related to cookery, art, fashion are much popular. To increase popularity, of course the quality and number of pins should be high. One can maximize traffic by uploading pins on other social sites. Rest you can incur a good seo strategy for tags, keywords, urls, and good captions.
 
PRO TIP: The single-most important thing you can do to increase click-thru's on Pinterest is to post pictures with faces in them.

Pinterest + AMF + Quality Pictures + Quality Landing Page = Done Deal...anything women related is $ in the bank on Pinterest...I only use AMF for re-pins and pin likes, artificially inflating the perceived popularity of certain pins, and it's yielded some good results (possibly some increase in traffic from AMF re-pins/likes, but AMF traffic is mostly garbage). Some of the highest converting / most targeted traffic I've ever gotten to date came from Pinterest (for multiple projects too, wasn't just a one time fluke).

Think woman's products, find the most impressive images you can for them and throw a little call to action in the pin description without being too overtly spammy, and you should be golden...

In my experience you need to invest a lot of time into pinterest.

i was trying to use social sites for generating some traffic including pinterest,they generate some traffic but no sales so i think all social traffic is bullshit,if a traffic source isn't making sales then is worthless.just my 2 cents
