im trying to find a way how i can dial into my home laptop while im in my office. so far i have found teamviewer.com

If i install the software on my office pc and then before i leave in the morning start a 'remote control session' on my laptop and email the details to the office will i be able to connect when i reach my office?
Are there any timelimits on this?
When someone connects to a machine does the receiving pc have to accept the connection etc ????

Any suggestions?

No time limits.

When you connect it'll ask for a generated password on the receieving PC that you have to enter in, that's all.

yes, you can do that. you need to install teamviewer on both computers with the same account information. the downside is that the pc at home will be able to access the pc at work as well; anyway, the pc at home must be on and the power options must be set so that it does not go into stand-by. you do not need to initiate a session, when you log into your pc at work you click "my computers" and you will see your home computer.

teamviewer is good stuff...been using it for 5 years now

Check out join.me

It's pretty cool, discovered it, a member from here showed it to me :)

This is Proper Information!

why not use RDP? I find that it has the best quality out of many, many I tried.

I also use teamviewer and think it is one of the best. Plus it is free. I think you can set it up so you can automatically connect to your PC as well.

I use tv almost daily. I have a VA in india he can sign into my computer any time he wants.
I use the free version I am sure it would work the same for you and fulfill your needs. If this helps click the thanks button/

Google's Gbridge is what I switched to. It's free and works fine for me.
