I use schema for my local clients. Almost tags like: address, phone number, open hours, business type etc. I can say that this works great for my SEO.

Scheme is powerful and it can increase your CTR on SERP.

I always put it after my whole content/post.

Yes, it's definitely something you should be doing if you run a legit business.
