As we mostly in front of our screen for majority of the time, do any of you use f.lux and did it help you in any way?

I use f.lux everywhere I can. It's lightweight and effective.

It drastically reduced the strain on my eyes and improved the amount of fatigue I experienced. I also try to run dark mode where I can.

Is it good to leave it at "auto" settings?

I just downloaded it and put the normal daytime Kelvins from 6500 to 5500, this is the best decision I've made today. Looks really relaxing for my eyes.

I don't have an auto option, that I can find. I"ve set my Day time, Night time and Bed time to all the same settings so it never shuts off.

I have a hard to looking at other people's screens after moving away from mine.

I just use the default ones installed on Linux and windows, they've always been good enough. I can say ever since I started using it, there's no way I can go back. I get an instant migraine if it ever gets turned off for some reason. It's amazing what different removing the harsh light can do.

I can't go back either. It's like using someones browser that doesn't have Ublock Origins and Ghostery on it... How in the f*ck can people internet that way, I don't get it. LOL

Yes, it really helps. At least when my eyes were hurting, that helped a lot

i have been using it for the last 10-11 years.
really great software.

My eyes are so sensitive but Windows default blue filter is great and enough for me.

I would rate it 9/10. It is stunning, but from time to time I had to manually adjust it, and it could be that it all depends on the surrounding light. Also, are your glasses with blue cut filters (I think this is the proper name) like mine? Then, maybe f.lux is not even necessary. Every day I try to look at my screen with and without glasses to see the difference. :weep:

I used to use it before, but I reinstalled my system and forgot to install it again. Thanks for reminding me :)

Yes. I use f.flux since 2-4 years! Never skip. Always use them and is the best you can do for your eyes and brain.

For who uses Linux you can use Redshift, is a good alternative to f.flux. Also works in Windows ;)

My eyes are sensitive plus i work most of the time on screen. Flux really helped me. It reduced my eye strain to nearly 80%. I am using it from more than 3 years and it is really good for those who spent long time in front of screen.

I installed it for my dad cause he uses Windows 7.
I have Windows 10 and it has default night light, you can access it through the notifications panel in bottom right.

I used to, but both Windows 10, OSX and Android have their own version of it now, so I just use those. Sunset to Sunrise.

I use it all the time.

It does wonders. If уоu uѕе уоur computer a lot at night, turning оn Flux or an еԛuivаlеnt puts this filtеr оn that rеduсеѕ bluе light, ѕо everything will seem slightly rеddiѕh, but it'ѕ a lоt more easy оn уоur еуеѕ.

I think it'ѕ most effective fоr реорlе likе me whо ѕlеер with a light оn. Trу уоur bеѕt tо mаtсh the tеmреrаturе оf f.lux tо thе lighting in your bеdrооm. Yоu'll find thаt lооking аt уоur ѕсrееn is nо longer аѕ ѕtrеnuоuѕ fоr уоur еуеѕ аѕ it wаѕ bеfоrе. This is bесаuѕе уоur eyes dоn't have tо adjust frоm your dim warm lit room tо уоur bright cool lit ѕсrееn аnуmоrе.

I саn't comment оn hоw еffесtivе f.lux iѕ fоr реорlе who ѕlеер in thе dаrk because I hаvеn't еxреriеnсеd thаt. I can see hоw it might bе bеnеfiсiаl to hаvе a dim warm light as орроѕеd to a bright cool light in bеd. Yet I саn understand hоw people аrе skeptical оf f.lux'ѕ сlаimѕ.

Been using it for a very long time
Switched to CareUeyes lately + Blu-cut lenses
Damn helpful to regulate eye strain.
