Anyone tried manipulating Google Cached webpage as a backlink?

Waow, nice idea indeed will definitely try out this technique.

OMG!!! 28.4 Million Backlinks.

Everyone here worrying about if this makes a good backlink, meanwhile I see a parasite capable of taking a ridiculous amount of spam links, being on a google domain and all........

Nonetheless, nice out of the box thinking. Good to get juices flowing.

Still not sure if this thread is serious.

but if there are indexed instances of that in G already, doesnt it matter we can index it too lol

Maybe they wanted robots to actually follow "nofollow" links as well as blocked by robots.txt sites and look for affilates/other shady stuff, and thus it ended in index

The cache pages are the index itself. If Google counted those it'd be counting links twice.

This could work if there was a major bug at Google, but even if there were, it's gone after this is public knowledge.

You can view cached pages even if the site is down though. These pages are just like any other, so unless/until googles algo doesn't crawl them (since they dont really need crawling), these pages are indexable as a separate page, though they may not pass much juice.

Those cache pages are pulling their data straight from the google index. How's google gonna index everything all over again from its own index?

SERP pages can be PR 10, so you're saying let's reindex Google's own SERPs for PR.

I wasnt interested in this for backlinks, I'm interested in it because it's a domain owned by google, with it's own metrics, meaning it can be spammed with low quality links in high numbers (I'd assume G wouldn't ding it's own domain, though this would probably need to be tested). Unless I'm missing something here. As far as google reindexing its own index, you said it yourself, it's broken lol.

Maybe someone should try to rank one of these for an awful low comp KW and share the results.

Oh yeah, it's broken, Google caches it's own cache lol:

And yes, URLs are different:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/custom?q=cache:1d0paa8ErWAJ:www.rhetorik.ch/Massen/Massen.html+beeinflussung&num=1&hl=en&prmd=ivns&strip=1&vwsrc=0
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:wrUYjocNr1sJ:webcache.googleusercontent.com/custom?q=cache:1d0paa8ErWAJ:www.rhetorik.ch/Massen/Massen.html+beeinflussung&num=1&hl=en&prm d=ivns&strip=1&vwsrc=0+&cd=5&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=opera

theoretically you could make it link like this: 3rd level cache -> 2nd level cache -> 1st level cache -> money site. But not sure if that's of any use...

But we can make a conclusion out of this fact, that webcache.googleusercontent.com is most likely being treated completely just like every other domain, so Google would definitely consider this backlink as valid.

Hello BHW brothers and sisters,

To expand on your theory. You can delete all extra data to the right of the cached url and add your own numbers letters etc. Then build to the backlinks in mass volume to a variety of links instead of one for diversification.

For Example:

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:AbCdE_exQJ:www.yoururl.com/1
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:AbCdE_exQJ:www.yoururl.com/2
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:AbCdE_exQJ:www.yoururl.com/3
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:AbCdE_exQJ:www.yoururl.com/4

And so on...
Hi,

Thanks for the explanation but can you please be more specific to me, I am sorry but I am a newbie so need step by step explanation.
Please correct me if I am wrong:

STEP 1 Find out the cached url for which you have to do backlinking.
For example http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:iJ9C94XSdlkJ:happyvalentineimages.com/+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk
STEP 2 Remove everything after happyvalentineimages.com from the cached url and put the numbers like 1, 2, 3 and so on.
For example http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:iJ9C94XSdlkJ:happyvalentineimages.com/1.
STEP 3 Go and create backlink for these different cached urls on different high authorities websites.

Thanks & Regards
Suruchi Bali

Possible, but this would cause duplicate content issues, wouldn't it? Depends on how Google treats it

create second website, put some content with backlinks and let it cache. just in case. it shouldnt really be "duplicate content issue" cause sites i checked are still doing well.

I am 99% sure Google completely ignores any domain they use for their search. Cache links are worthless.

Anyway after this thread this loophole will be closed, if it ever existed.

Interesting thread, really cool concept too, but the question sitll remains if this is worth the effort to try
