Still not sure if this thread is serious.
but if there are indexed instances of that in G already, doesnt it matter we can index it too lol
Maybe they wanted robots to actually follow "nofollow" links as well as blocked by robots.txt sites and look for affilates/other shady stuff, and thus it ended in index
You can view cached pages even if the site is down though. These pages are just like any other, so unless/until googles algo doesn't crawl them (since they dont really need crawling), these pages are indexable as a separate page, though they may not pass much juice. The cache pages are the index itself. If Google counted those it'd be counting links twice.
This could work if there was a major bug at Google, but even if there were, it's gone after this is public knowledge.

Those cache pages are pulling their data straight from the google index. How's google gonna index everything all over again from its own index?
SERP pages can be PR 10, so you're saying let's reindex Google's own SERPs for PR.

Let's give it a try according to my opinion.Still not sure if this thread is serious.
Hi,Hello BHW brothers and sisters,
To expand on your theory. You can delete all extra data to the right of the cached url and add your own numbers letters etc. Then build to the backlinks in mass volume to a variety of links instead of one for diversification.
For Example:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:AbCdE_exQJ:www.yoururl.com/1
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:AbCdE_exQJ:www.yoururl.com/2
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:AbCdE_exQJ:www.yoururl.com/3
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:AbCdE_exQJ:www.yoururl.com/4
And so on...

Possible, but this would cause duplicate content issues, wouldn't it? Depends on how Google treats it
But we can make a conclusion out of this fact, that webcache.googleusercontent.com is most likely being treated completely just like every other domain, so Google would definitely consider this backlink as valid.
I am 99% sure Google completely ignores any domain they use for their search. Cache links are worthless.
Anyway after this thread this loophole will be closed, if it ever existed.
