Anyone tried Github Copilot yet?

Back in the early 2000s, I used to feel like a freaking genius when I discovered how to generate getters/setters with one click using Eclipse. Boy oh boy :)
 
I use it as a snippet tool, which I guess it's what it basically is - a pretty advanced one though.
 
Isn’t it that ai coder thing? Nopes, i think i know my logic. :p

Me and my devs are on the waiting list since it was opened, nothing to this day LOL.
Both my devs are heavily active on github and has PRO.

Their selection is really random.. It feels like they are giving it out only to someone who have influence just to push ads like crazy.
 
I use tabnine. I don't think its quite as comprehensive, but it sure is an auto-complete on steroids. I'm hoping there is a jetbrains copilot!
 
I also got in like 2 months ago, but still no time to test it thoroughly, just some fiddling to see if it was useful but definitely not enough to get a clear impression. I may report in the future with much more testing.

Generally It's rare that I get in any "beta" program, so I'm quite impressed that some other users in this forum have not got in already!
 
I recall coding guys who I work with talking about it. They were not really impressed, they said it's like jarvis for copywriting - a big step when compared to what we got before it, but still not good enough to be used for real projects.
