Anyone suffer from Anxiety/Panic?

This:
I could have written the OP myself. Absolutely zero stress, making a shit ton of money with nothing to worry about. Here are some things that really help, Im still getting over it. Please listen to this advice, it took me a long time to realize I needed to make significant changes if I wanted to get over this. Don't be like me.

1. Use posistive statement to affirm! I had an extreme fear of having to suffer from this but it just isn't the case. You WILL get over it
2. Exercise. Go to the gym, get physically exhausted. This will help you sleep
3. Sleep a solid 8-10 hours a day. Your brain has experienced a traumatic event and your body needs to recover
4. Eat right. Cut the crap, processed foods. Eat veggies, fruits, etc. Stop drinking alcohol/smoking weed/etc, it only will slow your recovery
5. Consider supplements: Magnesium taurate (or citrate), multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic. Personally, these haven't been a cure but do seem to help

Just remember, most people who have stories like ours have no specific cause. I would obsessively look on the internet for some disease, vitamin deficiency, etc that would be responsible for this. Sometimes the stars align and your body gets thrown out of whack. Here are a few things that are known to cause anxiety:

GERD/IBS, diabetes, magnesium deficiency

Also do self hypnosis sessions or meditation daily, 3 times a day will do great!
Something like this:
http://youtu.be/lutmDJtGKPw

I can upload 27min long alpha(meditation) session for you if you want which will
help you relax your whole body and mind.

Cut on pills and tabs... these drugs only make you dependent on different chemicals. Drugs don't
help in long run. I always prefer alternative, natural treatments!

The posts above are stuff you learn in therapy, if you don't want to go it's okay follow the posts above, is a shortcut to resolve it!

I used to have anxiety and all of that.

I highly recommend what people are suggesting here, meditation and trying to be more healthy.

For further reading material if you want, what REALLY helped me was this: http://www.lindenmethod.com/ You can find it for free in the torrents, if not PM me and il see if I can find the e-book on one of my HDs somewhere.

Coffee + Energy drinks + stress + no sleep = panic attack / heart problems?

You don't say.

Why it keeps happening now... might be becoz you have anchored the thought and when ever you think of it unconsciously you might get into the same state.

I dunno tho.... see a doctor we aint experts.

I have post traumatic stres from some events in the past. long story.
Also, had bunch of panic attacks and anxiety few years ago, i tought im going crazy...didnt know whats going on.
Constant fear and constant worry bout health, thinking im going to die etc.
That is really bad...it took me 2-3 years and some benzos to realize that actually everything is in your head.
You can control it, just takes some time...
Try to not think about panic attack or whatever might happen, dont let your mind think about it all the time.
Dont read forums about that topic. Hang out with ppl more...try to not stay alone much and watch porn or do whatever that take you mind away from stress :)
No one can help you but yourself, and most important thing is... the worst panic attack last for 20 seconds max...so. think about how it will end soon and everything will be ok :)
Joke about it, stay strong, eat food you like, hang out with friends....just dont think about if something will happen.

Trust me...it will go away...not because some medication...because you want it to go away.
It will take some time but you will be just fine :)

Cheers pal and stay well.

I had the worst panic attack / anxiety last saturday due to smoking weed. I'm a medical patient and need it for my stomach issues. I've never dealt with it before and i've been smoking daily since around 16 years old. I didn't smoke anything the next day in fear of feeling the same thing but than I got the courage the day after and tried a different strain. Took a couple hits and got the same feeling but just not as intense and only lasted around 30 minutes.

The panic attacks make me feel like I'm dying... Heart beating like some damn club music, knot in my throat could barely swallow, and very heavy breathing for around 2 hours. I searched online to see if it has happened to others and I felt a lot more relieved knowing I'm not the only one that gets it from smoking.

I tried again today to see if I had just been bugging the past days but once again ....3 hits of the weed and i got the anxiety for about an hour. I feel fine when not smoking so mine really is from the damn thc :(

I feel your pain, it's one of the most horrible things i've ever experienced besides appendicitis and getting attacked by a pitbull.

Good luck and hope everything is okay for you.

Actually i quit smoking weed couple years ago exaclty because of it.

its results of many issues, mainly from your lifestyle and personal issues. I had a mate, she used to prick her finger tips with a safety pin to over come this problem, and was seeing a shrink. I think you should go to your GP and explain the problems you are having, and specialist will asses everything will direct you in the right direction, at least you would know what causes it and correct them in needed.

See your GP matey, nothing wrong with asking for help if you need it, i know i will.

this film Peaceful Warrior as stupid as it sounds has helped several people i know who were suffering from anxiety and depression. its a bit Hollywood over the top but the messages in it are excellent.(that's what your watching it for)

1. You will not have this forever and you will not feel this way forever. Repeat this to yourself. I had an extreme fear of having to suffer from this but it just isn't the case. You WILL get over it

It's amazing how similar my experience was to yours, man. I would be Googling symptoms all day to try and figure out what was wrong with me, and I realize now that that's the worse thing you can do because all it does is freak you out and make you think you're sick, even though it's all just in your head. I HONESTLY thought I had anemia, iron deficiency, GERD, low blood pressure, etc. But I don't have any of those things.

I started feeling better when I stopped thinking about it and did things to get it off my mind like play video games, work, exercise, hang out with friends. I show no physical symptoms, but the only time this creeps up on me is usually right when I wake up in the morning and maybe once during the afternoon (usually if I'm bored).

I agree with one of the first guys who replied, so much of our brain chemistry comes down to what we eat, how much we exercise and to be quite honest the power of positive thinking. Positive thinking isn't just some random term, we all know feeling positive equates to feeling happy.

I have a saying " positive thinking goes a long way - and I'm feeling goood today" :)

Also, it may just be a placebo, but Chamomile tea has worked on the occasions that I need to relax.

I have panic attack a week ago.
Because I drank 4x coffee on single day. My heart beat so damn fast + feel like gonna die. (But don't worry you will not die).

Now none coffee for me.

And the doctor gave me LUVOX for daily taking.

The doctor also teach me on how to breath and stuff..

4 coffees in a day doesn't seem like that much, but I'd definitely lay off the coffee if it caused a panic attack. Hope that's the last time you experience that!

Read up hyperventilation.

I got my panic attack whenever im anxious and hyperventilate.

Relax and learn the correct way to breathe is very important. To keep it short, doctor taught me that we only need to breathe 6 times per min.

Stay away from coffee

I read the whole thing. Do not rely on pills and change your diet man..
No caffeine
Vegetables
Water
And then go out for a nice dinner to relax. Moving from everything + Girlfriend problems + Change in temperature from NY
to Florida all couples with no sleep and energy drinks will definitely mess you up. Trust me I have been on a plane for 20+ hours
drinking 4-5 5 hour energies to stay awake the whole time and crashing in some hotel with hookers...lol

Cheers,
Unclemike

I have ADHD and Anxiety and i take no medication what so ever, except of some good illegal herbs :) and it works magic.
i also exercise 2 hours daily 5 days a week and i try to keep my diet as healthy as i can.

LOL. Man 5 hour energies are a bad news. Shit makes my heart raceee.

Like some of the people said, watch your breathing.
I had almost the same. one time I almost passed out, whenever I sit and then stand up I felt light in my head and one time it was really bad when I stood up I saw everything just shaking and everything turned black and then everything went back to normal.

I thought I must have something, I tested everything from sugar to salt nothing.
And It gets even worse when you look up your symptoms on the internet you will get more stressed.

One day I read an article about hyperventilation and that you can hyperventilate without noticing it. the symptoms that come with hyperventilation are endless.

So I would say watch your breathing when I did I started to feel much better and It disappeared.

oh and, stop drinking energy drinks and all that crap

Looking up symptoms on the internet was the worst thing EVER. Anyone reading this: DO NOT try to self diagnose yourself by searching for your symptoms on google. It's going to make you think you have a bunch of different illnesses and disorders. You're better off just getting some standard testing done by your doctor, and if he/she says you're okay, then you're okay.
