Anyone selling Articles on Fiverr?

I just started a few days ago and already have over 10 orders. My thought was to sell the article and then upsell for article submissions and other social media needs.

Problem is no one is going for my upsell which means my copy is poor or no one is interested.

Selling a 500 word article for $4 (Fiverr takes out a $1 in commission) by itself kinda blows. However, I'm a pretty good writer and have repeat customers. Plus it also takes 14 days for them to release the funds (At least its better than waiting for my poker money to be released to me).

Any upsell ideas?

Yes hit up odesk, guru, freelancer, articlez and charge more for your service.

What is your current upsell? People on fiverr tend to be cheap and skeptical so not many are willing to bite.. With the sites i gave you you much more likely to make more money for less work and more upsells

yeah, i've also begun selling articles on Fiverr as I've been selling stuff successfully on there before.

But maybe it's not the best for articles.
 
I have seen people selling 3 articles for 5 $ on Fiverr.

Yeah it's funny.

To do a bit of testing, I pitched myself as a high quality writer in 1 and said I'll write 1 article.

Created a new account and said I'd write 2 articles.

So far both have similar number of orders.
 
I have no idea about selling those articles. As you consider yourself as a good writer, then you can try in freelancing sites. There are a sufficient demands of articles writer. I think, you can earn a handsome amount from there. Thanks.
 
You need to supply services that can be completed in under 10mins, 15mins MAX
any longer than that then it's just not worth it. I was supplying 29 high PR profile
links but it took over 1hr to create and verify the backlinks so I suspended the gig
because i was geting 2-4 orders a day thats 2-4 hours a day.

Now i have a gig that i can complete in 5 -10 mins:)

Consider to make a package deal on bhw.

Find a good deal if you make x amount of articles, spin them and submit them to article directories.

I think it's more difficult to sell separate with upselling!
 
Your problem with upselling on Fiverr is that people there are usually frugal. Make a website that sells your other services and drive people there somehow. Either advertise it in your name, services, or pitch it to happy clients.

Fiverr has a wide audience but they all expect you to perform a quality service for ~$3 of profit. Doing labor for cheap is effective advertisement but you shouldn't sell yourself short, at least not for long.
 
I look at it as a barter service. There are gigs there that would take me hours to do. So i sell a 500 word article which takes me around 20 minutes if it is not an extreme subject. Then i buy gigs with those funds. I like writing to so it works for me. Its not worth for money though, 14 days + days for buyer to approve it.
 
Thanks for all the comments guys. I'm a pretty good writer, I'm thinking of just moving over to textbrokers and deleting all of my writing gigs. I also have a gig that takes even less than 5 minutes and had already over 5 orders. It's much better than writing a 500 word article.

Don't bother asking what the gig is. Maybe when I get sick of Fiverr I'll share.
 
I have a writing gig, as well. While there are Fiverr gigs that promise two and three articles for $5, you get what you pay for. $5 for one, quality 450+ word article is a competitive price, I guess. But yeah, I think it's best to look at it as fundraising for payments for other gigs - perhaps those that offer services that you don't know how to/don't want to do. So, are 5 articles a fair trade for 4 of some other Fiverr gig? I guess it all depends on how quickly you write/how much you like to write, and for what services you're trading.
 
I've been writing for fiverr- its not the best place to earn $$$ for articles, and takes too long to clear. But i'm an EXCEPIONAL writer, so i'm using fiverr as a way to introduce me to new clients- Rather than actually trying to just make $$$ on there. That simple short article i do? It shows there's so much more that i am capable of. I can give those people who explore my gig the chance to try me out- then if they like what they see, they can hire me on. However, you don't want to offer too much in the gig- Or else you will be underselling your content. find "fanpagegirl" on fiverr, and look at the way that mine is set up. [if you need further instruction on how to find it, i'm sorry. lol]. I probably shouldn't show you how my gig is set up (might not be good for my own gig lol). But i figured yall might find some insight in it.
 
I don't want to give away all the secrets that I use on fiverr BUT it's a great idea to have other gigs such as article submissions, UAW submissions, etc etc to go along with the article writing. This will attract some super easy 5 minute gigs.

Add in additional services and you can get some easy profits from fiverr.
