Anyone recovered from Penguin 2.0 yet?

Recovered numerous sites from Penguin 2.0 (well tentatively at least)

Well I guess you could say it's too early and dancing blah blah, but didn't really have time to wait it out, people gotta make money you know!

Just grab a bunch of high PR links from a private blog network or some other paid links and throw in some web 2.0/social bookmarks etc. and you'll see your rankings rise again.

Penguin 2.0 appears to just devalue crappy links, so adding more quality stuff should boost you back up. At least that is what I have seen anyway from the sites I have worked on.

Again yes it is still early, but I don't really feel like sitting on the sidelines. Regardless of where things settle, you know that the only chance you have of recovery is by adding more high quality links to the mix. So why wait?

Here are some screenshots (all from different sites), I have a bunch more but was too lazy to take em/upload etc.

i had a site that got hit pretty hard, still working on recovery for some very competitive terms, but it's going well and almost there

To revive from the dead do the following:

Stop buying links/ using obvious black hat SEO techniques, they don't work.

Sitting on my hands at the moment, but competition are blog posting like like mad and dominating.

Its a good earner and an ecommerce store that's been slapped in the past, too risky. I still obsessively check the rankings for it a million times a day hah :D

I didn't notice any update. But I've always been smart enough to avoid depending on seo for income.

But to those that do keep up the good fight cause after all fast food restaurants still need good employees LOL.

Yeah.. One site got hit and still 4 keywords out of 5 are no where to be seen in serps.

How badly damaged was your link profile for those sites? And what kind of anchor texts did you use for these high quality links that you sent? I have a few sites that were hit, and your observation pretty accurately describes them.

i recommend building constant amount of backlinks per day...

after a week, if your rankings will dance, it means that your site is not hit...

avoid building no follow type of links, web2s, article submissions, bookmarks, profile links and blog comments...
also dont ping...

sorry sounds like a stupid question, but would webmaster tools not tell you if you've been penalized?

Does WMTs tell you if you have dodgy looking backlinks?

So no backlinks at all then?? :(

also, my wordpress blog automatically pings when publishing a post. Would this be seen as bad?

Mine dancing like anything. Keywords get disappeared and then come back to top 50s. Happening a lot lately. I think i would give a break to backlinking process.

I think it is too early for Penguin 2.0 recovery success stories, especially since Google is rolling out an update now. The good news is that it's the white hat whiners in other forums mostly complaining that our spun web 2.0 blogs are kicking their white hat asses. That good fucking news if you ask me. Keep in mind that it's those white hat fucks that kept praising Google for their continued efforts to tackle spam/blackhat tactics. Now Google is bending their asses over and giving it to them without any Vaseline. Who's screaming like a pig now? :D

From the bounces I see, my guess is the rollout did not finish yet.

Yeah, google is rolling it out now, my EMD that was nowhere to be found is now rankiing on the first page.

Yes I am recovered from penguin 2 my site goes on 5th page of google search and now i get it not just on 1st page i got it on 1st place from my targeted country (^_^)...
I just used legit way and shortest way if anyone need that shortest way then anyone can PM me I'll be here for your help :)

I was just starting to rank well and grew my traffic from 100 per day to just under 300 per day... Thinking oh my God, internet marketing may be the best thing for me... And then...

It's still for me, I just gotta clean up, regroup my SEO and then attack Penguin 2.0.
