Has anyones site come back from the dead yet? Did you do any work to it or did it just return? Im not looking for any methods as chances are that the factors will be completely different to my sites so what works for you may not work for me.

One of my sites is still dancing around the serps after the latest update and im unsure of what I should do to it yet. I have a few plans for recovery but due to it still rolling out (I think it is anyway as all the sites in my niche are still dancing), im not sure if it would be best to put the plans into action, or wait a little longer until the dust settles.

Not recovered, I made new websites and forgot about the old ones and try to make them compatible with webmaster guidelines and doing it that way will able to survive in the future.

Not fully. From around 20 affected sites, only 4 I managed to get back. My most important ones are still on page 4-6. I have a feeling that this will be a hard year.

If the ranking is dancing highly then best bet is to wait. If the ranking drops like hell. Then, create more variety backlinks asusual to get it back.

In your experience will simply adding links beat Penguin? I may buy your service, but need honest reply. Thanks.

One of my sites was hit hard in penguin 2, so i removed all of the links and replaced them with high PR links from the same niche, looks like it's working the site is coming back slowly to the 4th page (was at 100th position), it's sitting on that position for like the past 4 days with some minor ups, i'm going to build more tonight and see what's the outcome by the end of this week, and i'll report back.

Not yet. I really think that penguin 2.0 targeted spun content. That is the only "black hat" (not sure if it is black hat or grey hat) thing that I was doing. I got all of my 500+ keywords slapped out of the top 100 results. I guess in time we will see what else penguin 2.0 was hitting.

I lost ranking on some keywords, but ranked in about the same spot for others, basicly I always have 3 keywords ranking first page. Some of my other sites, got a boost in rankings. But still dancing a little.

How did you removed them? Disallow tool?

Didn't even recover. Every of my client's site and mine went POOF. All of my earnings were POOF too

Yes! I did. :)

What I did was created 20-25 manual article backlinks and posted them on good PR websites. Now, I backlinked them with Senuke, Scrapebox. You might want to create more articles depending on the keyword (mine has 8000 searches).

Best of luck!

waiting would be the best option, as hopefully this phase would pass and ranking should be back to normal. However in the meantime, you can work on backlinks and also be prepared for worst case scenario and start transferring the content to a different domain.

I's still wait - till early July. The fact they are still dancing shows that Penguin (and the PR update that's due and the re-run of Panda) are still all in the mix.
Hard to know what you've been penalized for when so much is still gong on.

Scritty

1 kw got hit into oblivion and the other one is poorly perfoming (page 2 - pos12-13). trying to recover, i updated the disavow list, got some SB and some manual high PR links. Gonna keep trying until i get it back

Still dancing around all over the place. Some kws have settled - mainly in lower positions than pre-Penguin - but all have been hit hard. I'm max-ing out on social media now and looking at SB to find lots of high pr posts to comment.

None of my KW's have settled yet. Quite a few are gone and are not coming back :(
