Hey all - I started experimenting with Yahoo Answers, white hat style. What I do is write 4 posts without leaving any links, then my 5th answer - I leave a link in the resource box that leads to my website.

I'm trying to increase traffic like this.

So my question is - do you think it's worth it - If I answer for example 1000 questions (you can only answer 20 per day, so I'll need about 2 months). I've heard that it may bring in some high quality traffic. If you're doing it - how much traffic does it bring in for you and do you use some method?

Another thing I wanted to ask - will they bann you if you answer questions and then leave an affiliate link in the resource box?

    Thanks,
    Jack

Blanc, could you tell me how you're doing it, are you using any method - or you're just answering everything related to your niche and leaving a link for your blog/site in the resource box?

How much traffic are you getting and how long have you been doing it?

    Thanks,
    jack

I ask Questions and answer them myself with a link and then choose my answers as the best answers. This works out well only for cpa offers.
I have been doing this for about 3mnths and i average about 3000 visits a day.

I never had any luck with YA. I got a couple of accounts banned even after providing quality answers. I think eventually they catch on. But, I suppose you can just open a new account. It is just a lot of work to build it up again so you seem reliable. But, I have heard of a few people making a bit of money off of it. Nothing crazy, you are better diversifying your traffic and income streams. Don't just rely on one.

Yahoo Answers is a great way to drive traffic to your website. The conversions aren't that great but if you set it up properly it's not a huge time drainer.

I have recently started yahoo answers, and I've got 100 accounts I'm actually using right now, with some of them designated for asking and others for answering.

I'm also quite covered by frequently changing proxies.

Big G really does love YA, because one of my staged answers is ranked #1 for a decent keyword (as an indented result, but still).

When you go to answer a question you are allowed to include their website url at the end of their answer as a place to go to find more informaton on the subject. If done the right way many people will click on the link to go to your website.

The following are some important tips to successfully get traffic from yahoo answers.

    1. Be sure to read their terms of service before you start answering questions. Yahoo is very strict about their rules and you can get your account banned quickly for not following them.

    2. Remember that people go there to find information and not get a sales pitch. The best way to sell to people on there is to help them as much as possible by giving good answers to their problems.

    3. The best way to get more clickthroughs is to give a quality and complete answer to a question but then tell readers that they can find more information at your website. It is important to make sure you really do have more information there however.

    4. Don't be a spammer who posts tons of answers every day. If you post too often your account could be banned. This is so even if you give good answers. The best way to operate especially at first is to give a few answers a day. After you build your reputation up you will be able to answer more frequently but it should never be abused.

    5. The quality of your answers you give is very important. There are two reasons for that. First of all quality answers will stand out and get more clicks. Secondly they are more likely to be voted the best answer which will further help with traffic.

If you use your affiliate link your account will be suspended for sure..

I'm a very well experienced yahoo answers poster.let me know if you need any thing more. You can contact me via my skype or pm me.

    Thanks,

Yeah I found out that yahoo answers are all NOFOLLOW, so for ranking this isn't really good.

But you do get traffic if you give good questions and if you manage to get best answer other sites will also pick this up an then maybe you could get backlinks from them.

I like yahoo answers but it takes some work. Oh and I also have gotten warnings from yahoo and accused of soliciting. So try and write a good answer because if not some of the top members will put you down.

Hint, try and not answer if you can't give a good answer and you see that a top contributor already have answered the question.

Hm, I never considered this as a viable method for gaining traffic. Seems like it's worth a try, though. Depending on your niche, a good, quality answer could definitely spark some initial interest in your site.

I've used Yahoo Answers in the best in conjunction with sharecash links. Made like $2 then stopped because it wasn't worth the time.
