In terms of a good mailing server, I have had some success with a cheap 15$ Virpus VPS. Expect some downtime and shoddy support, and the possibility of being on a bad node, but it's not horrible as a start - I was pulling 24,000 a day. The fact it comes with 3 IPs is good for rotation if your double opt-in lists are full of complainers, and Virpus doesn't care about their false complaints as much as some other providers. ;P

I'm certainly capable of setting up a server with rotating IPs, SPF, rDNS, DKIM signing and the option of multiple MTA with volume limiting. If anyone wants to work something out, where I handle the server administration and you handle the lists and messages, I'd definitely be interested. Feel free to shoot me a PM with your messenger of choice, or hit me up on Skype through my profile.

I guess one thing that Newbies MUST get first is that, Mailing isn't cheap. Getting cheap VPS is possible yes. Getting Applications is another breeze. Most preferred applications are Interspire (For Web based Mailing). Atomic mailer also works but i am not a fun of desktop mailing. I wouldn't recommend it.

Once you have a VPS+Interspire (Quite easy to get)+ Multiple IP's to Rotate+ .com Domain(.com because the cheap .info is easily marked as spam), the next big step is to get professional who can professionally assist with setting up Mail Server on PMTA with IP rotation OR Using Postfx.

Power MTA is my most preferred method. It works like charm for all my servers I configure. Finally request your ISP to configure RDNS for your IP's using records e.g. mx.blahblablah.com for - (IP) 24.4.97.110

With that said Noobs, move on and bring reputation to your IP address. Dont start bulk mailing from day one. Send small bits and increase over time. I repeat again, Reputation is the key to sending several mails in a day.
After sometime, with few IP's you then get to a point where you can shoot million mails a day.
Oh, guys remember targeted is the way. Try and do targetting marketing only. you will be amazed by 40-50% conversions into sales.I mean sales not clicks. Clicks are well 70-80%
If you are a noob still skimming this forum for 'getting started in email'. Stop it and take action. Get your vps, IPs, Build lists (The easiest Part .. haha).

You didnt even tell us how much you want to send per hour. Go get a dedi if you can. If you are a newbie, Start with a vps, Some Ips , Interspire + Custom mods and off you go

its possible with multiple ip adresses and rotation i have a dedicated server with 256 ips that can send out almost 1 million emails a day without any problems.
Iam rotating the ips after every email sent also i use ISP rules like limiting how many emails sent per ip every hour to yahoo/gmail/aol etc. to avoid blocking.

what are you charging for this?

I think Imnica Mail or Sendloop allow that.

I have a great system down, good targeted lists, IP Warming, etc. I am able to rotate and inbox with no problem.
The only issue I am having is that my current VPS provider will suspend with 1 or 2 abuse complaints.
We clean our lists A LOT and honor removal requests.
I send out 25,000 emails/day, and out of all of that maybe get 1-2 complaints/week.
Anyone know of a more forgiving VPS hosting company.
Don't want to list current company for obvious reasons.

If you have budget then go for powermta4 + intespire with dedicated server, you will be easily sending 500k emails a day..Start with thousands and increase numbers day by day, we need ip to warm first otherwise ips will be blacklisted. There is add on which can reduce spam complaints in interspire.. I have set up and I hardly get any complaints.

I can setup smtp server using linux vps for a cheap price.With SPF/DKIM/RDNS/IP ROTATION.It can inbox on Yahoo,Gmail,and other email providers.If you have a desktop mailer or script you can mass email with no hour limit with my setup.
