I'm new to the forums and was wondering if anyone plays or has played badminton before at a decent level, if so.. post your racket and equipment specifications below

here are mine:

Racquet 1: Li-ning High Carbon 1900
String: Yonex Nanogy 99 @ 26lbs

Racquet 2: Li-ning Woods N90 ii S type
String: Yonex Nanogy 99 @ 27lbs

Racquet 3: Yonex Voltric Lin Dan Force
String: Yonex BG80 @ 26lbs

Racquet 4: Yonex Voltric 80 E-tune
String: Unstrung at the moment

Shoe 1: Yonex SHB 65EX Yellow and Black colour scheme
Shoe 2: Salming Viper 2.0
Shoe 3: Asics Gel Fireblast 2

Training Shuttlecocks: Yonex AS30 or AS40 speed 77, sometimes the occasional Yehlex, Victor or Carlton, though the best for flight stability and durability are Yonex shuttles.

Competition Shuttlecocks: Yonex AS50 (Best shuttles currently available on the market for competition)

I used to play badminton in high school during physical education. Toward the end of the year, I was banned from playing badminton because I would intentionally hit the shuttlecock as far as I could to make the other team go fetch it.

My equipment:

Racket: K-Mart $1.25
Shoes & Clothes: Wal-Mart $3.29 (Black Friday!)
Shuttlecocks: Ebay $1.65

And I would still thrash you on the court!
You sound like a Japanese corporate golfer! All the gear, but no idea mate!

Haha, I've played singles at a national level, I worked my way up with the equipment throughout two years of training on and off, I doubt you'd beat me, I'd use a broken racquet and still win :D :P but like you said, some folks purchase gear like this and don't know how to use it to its full extent...

Hahaha, that's allowed as long as its within the zones of the court :D I'm sure you must have enjoyed it right?

I've never played squash before, what is it like?

Pretty nice! I guess a bit like any other racket driven sport, perhaps a bit similar to tennis but easier. This is what my parents used to play when they first met. :)
