Anyone here making website for sell without knowing how to code?

Wordpress was developed for the use of people (writers) who wanted to make a blog without having to know anything about code.
Knowing how to code a website from scratch would make you a theme developer, but that's not easy and definitely not a one man business model I would base my future on.
Doing business in fiverr is tough, try it but don't get to much excited.
Yeah, I have been here for a while so I know Fiverr is quite saturated, but you guys make me feel it's possible to make money with what I already know.

Go on Yellowpages or other local business listing sites and collect emails from businesses with ugly websites. Then do an email outreach with web design services etc. Can confirm it works.

It's a smart method, thanks.

No problem. Don't forget to try different types of businesses (dentists, florists, bakeries etc) and also try different pricing. I sold websites for anything from $199 to $2,000+.

There's also a method where you offer free websites for new buainesses, but then get them to sign up on your hosting affiliate plan - some pay $99+ per host plan sold. (All these methods have been discussed on BHW, give the search function a go)

I was born to do it the hard way, that's how I like it, and that's how it's going to stay.

If I had to pick between (the false dichotomy of) building sellable sites without knowing anything, and struggling to build increasingly better sites from the ground up, I'm all for the struggle. In the end, I'll have a deeper understanding that will allow me to form new ideas that I'd otherwise have been incapable of, while the next guy is waiting for someone to build him a plugin.

Of course, nothing is ever really from scratch. To paraphrase Carl Sagan, "To build a Raspberry Pi from scratch, you'd have to first create the universe".

With that in mind, I'm happy to put existing languages and libraries to use. HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python, the Flask framework, Nginx.
But if I had it my way, and I could work my way in deep enough, I'd be writing code in 1's and 0's while the wordpress guy is getting rich.
I'm playing the long game.

I've worked on a few sites built by local web designers that were nothing but simple wordpress sites with a few plugins. They paid $1,500-$2,000 for the sites. It was something I could build in a few hours tops, including content and images.

Know your limitations and sell what you know.

Making a website for sale is a one off. If you charge too much, you make an enemy. If you charge too little, they think you are a noob and it is not worth it for you. Amateur stuff.

The key to wealth is CASH FLOW. You need some of it.

My Rule #37 - You can make a profit on a sale. But you can make a fortune by insuring that the other guy makes a profit on the sale.

So create a continuity program renting websites.

Example: Restaurant

56% of guests order from a restaurant’s website online daily, weekly, or monthly. Amazing.

You RENT them a website that performs services for them (reservations, list building, coupons, etc)

1) Get a CPanel VPS for your hosting or even better get a dedicated server.

2) Install Wordpress. On GPL club GPL.Coffee and get a pre-designed theme-

Foodie
Espresso
Tomato (Integrated with Open Table)
White Rock
Caverta, etc

These are pre-defined, high end restaurant themes. They are already done for you. You just have to sales pitch them to the client.

Google "open table plugin"

This is a 900 Billion a year industry.

Important Restaurant WordPress Plugins :

Reservation and Management WordPress Plugins
FoodPress Reservation & WordPress Restaurant Plugin
Open Table Plugin
WP Restaurant Manager

WordPress Restaurant Menu Plugins
Food and Drink Menu
Quick Restaurant Menu Plugin
Restaurant Press

Tactical WordPress Restaurant Plugins
Yelp Widget Pro
Google Maps Widget
TripAdvisor Widget
Bonus Key Plugin – WP Pizza

Create a generic website first as a demo.

Then when you sign them, help them select a domain and YOU do the work of setting it up, putting in the menus, etc. Make them TOTALLY DEPENDENT ON YOU.

Flat rate - depends on the restaurant - pizza joint vs fine dining or

MAKE IT FREE and you get a cut of every reservation made on it. 2% cut should make you rich.

You could have 200 of these on a dedicated server and never even slow it down.

Make sure you outsource the emailing to MailChimp so they can do their own coupon mailouts, specials, etc.

Remember Rule #37

Cut your hair, hide the tatoos and WEAR A SUIT when you sales pitch.

And if you want the big bucks, take the course -

What Every Young Man Should Know about Being a Gentleman

It is on the torrents

Rich people wear suits. They like the people they deal with to wear suits. Money likes stability and stability is "old school".

Sincerely,

TheEye
