I've been taking cold showers recently in the morning, and I am seeing great benefits.
In the beginning, it was not easy. Now, 4 weeks later, I can hop under the cold shower instantly (instead of starting lukewarm and turning it cold slowly) and stay under it for 10+ minutes with no problem.
The biggest benefit, for me, is strengthening my willpower by doing something that you actually don't want to do.
Before you jump under, you get this feeling like: "I don't want to do this, because it's cold as fuck.", but once you jump under it, you've beaten your first obstacle of the day, and you get rewarded with a lot of energy (in my case).
They have
more benefits such as:
- Higher level of alertness
- Reduced stress levels
- Boosted immune response
Anyone else here into cold showers? I really didn't like it at first and never really believed in them, but am amazed at the benefits I'm experiencing.
I am also looking to try out an ice bath in a couple of weeks for a whole new experience. If anyone has any tips for that, feel free to let me know.
